  1. that's strange, but awesome for you. OV doing work.
  2. thanks a lot, dude. i've been slowly transcribing another interview i did at the roc city convention. i think it's the best one i've done thus far. hopefully, i'll be posting that within the next week or so. there's a ton of posts on my blog, so it may be hard to go back and lurk it, but i've posted about times that i've gotten tattooed since the inception. i need to do a better job of organizing it, but i have a hard time not being a lazy piece of shit after i get home from work. kev, i believe i posted a pic of your peacock last week. it was excellent. post that shit again. i'm gonna check to see if i posted it, and if not, i'll make sure i do.
  3. i've been seeing people post pictures of the book on tumblr and instagram. so bummed i can't afford this book at the moment. hoping to get it next pay check. it looks so awesome.
  4. as this dude has continued to post, he's really shown how much of a moron he is. good luck with that, dude.
  5. here's my take: i'm not a tattooer. with that said, i've got the utmost respect for the craft. if i ever had aspirations to become a tattooer, i'd do everything in my power to go about it the right way, and in an honest way. i'm not trying to be a dick, but you've gotta put yourselves in their shoes for a second. you're going into their shop trying to learn something from them, almost trying to take the easy way in learning things. if i were a tattooer, i'd treat you the same way. to them, who the hell are you? you're some dude, walking in, attempting to take their hard earned secrets and knowledge without any of the work. the same could be said of any craft. you're trying to leech knowledge off of them. even if you're doing everything sterile out of your home, you're still not doing things the right way. you need to keep that in mind. scratching is scratching. anyway that you cut it, it's still scratching.
  6. i would definitely not go back. they sound like an asshole. and not to be a jerk, but i think that tattoo isn't great. it's not bad, but it's nothing to be blown away by.
  7. @David Flores i feel like that spot would suck to get tattooed. anyway, from what i can tell, the tattoo looks pretty sweet.
  8. that tattooer sounds like a lame brain. as far as picking colors, i usually tell the folks tattooing me do whatever the hell they want color wise. hasn't failed me yet.
  9. this is true. i was talking more about modern western tattooing.
  10. what a schmuck. western tattoos began when royalty and travelers would go to exotic places, or bring back indigenous folks, and get tattooed by natives. so, essentially, traditional tattooing is rooted in the skin of royalty. suck that you british fuck.
  11. if you're in ontario, franz stefanik is in burlington. he does pretty sweet traditional stuff.
  12. @Dan S seriously. what a fucking creep that dude is.
  13. such a good idea. i need to do this. when is the season airing? next year?
  14. since i use wordpress for my blog, i can see which search terms have brought people to my blog. traditional tattoos or tattoo flash are usually really high on the list.
  15. this is pretty much what i'd like to get around my wrist
  16. i'm not very nationalistic, but i really want to incorporate an american crest into a tattoo. i feel lame, but i really love that imagine.
  17. dude, that tattoo looks awesome as fuck. i can't even imagine how badly the arm pit must feel.
  18. god damn, dude. that parrot from 73 has held the test of time.
  19. i think getting tattooed by someone that has a cool personality and is enjoyable to have a conversation with can really make or break an experience. i've been tattooed by a couple of dudes that were really cool and awesome to shoot the shit with. only once have a been tattooed by someone that wasn't super talkative; he was a jerk or anything, but not very chatty, but that's ok. the dudes that i've been able to have a conversation with pretty much through my whole appointment made for an awesome experience.
