  1. Just booked an appointment with Jeff Rassier for next week... I'm beyond excited.
  2. Nope. Never heard of him. What's his deal? Also, that's awesome that you picked up on a Whiskeytown vibe from these songs. Ryan Adams has definitely been a huge influence on me over the years. Thanks again!
  3. Oh man! Thanks so much. That really means a lot to me. I'm so glad you like it!
  4. It's finally released! I wrote, recorded, tracked, and performed the whole thing (except for the drums). Here's the link if you guys are curious at all: With Wolves Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated! I hope you guys like it.
  5. Oh man. It healed up so perfectly. It was the easiest/smoothest healing process I've ever experienced too. It barely even scabbed. Mike Rubendall's a true pro.
  6. I just made my appointments with Dave Cummings to start my full backpiece of a black & grey Fudo Myo. I'm crazy excited about it and it seems like he is too. His work is crazy good and he's the nicest dude.
  7. Thanks for the suggestions, everybody. I'm going to see if I can swing a trip out to Portsmouth if my schedule permits...
  8. I'm in Boston for work for the next 2-3 weeks and was wondering if there was anywhere/anyone in particular worth seeking out to get tattooed by while I'm here? I just got tattooed by Steve Boltz twice, Eli Quinters, and Bailey Hunter Robinson while I was in Brooklyn for work as well this past month and I'm hoping to keep the streak alive! :)
  9. I'm just waiting to hear back on my appointment time from Bailey Hunter Robinson. Hopefully it doesn't conflict!
  10. I'm going to be in New York for the next month for work. Let me know what the story is and hopefully I can join in and meet some of you dudes.
  11. I second this. Best dude and best tattooer.
  12. Tomorrow. New episodes get aired every Wednesday.
  13. Purely out of curiosity, I just watched the first two episodes of this season. The thing that bugs me the most about it is that they give the winners of the "Flash Challenges" the ability to assign all of the "Human Canvases" to each tattooer. What this means is that they are purposely trying to make their competitors put on bad tattoos that they know they can't pull off so that they can further themselves in the competition. They're actively trying to get the clients bad tattoos. I mean, I understand that it's a competition and money is at stake, but these are tattoos. People have to live with these for the rest of their lives and I think it's a total dick move to completely neglect to think about the client's happiness and their right to get a good tattoo. Like it was said earlier, this is just a TV show. There is good and bad associated with it's impact, of course, but ultimately it's aired for entertainment purposes and not for promoting artistic integrity. That's their prerogative and that's fine, but I think it's incredibly irresponsible to participate in fostering a culture where people get shitty tattoos on purpose. That's never cool, and that's where I take most issue with this show.
  14. Thanks so much! I truly couldn't be happier with it. I'm going to be in Manhattan in a few few weeks and I'm going to pop by the downtown Kings Avenue shop to get some serious photos taken for Mike's new portfolio. If I can get my hands on some of those professional photos I'll try and post them here for you to see.
  15. This is the best news! Thanks for all the votes, everyone!
  16. I walk by this place almost every day. It makes me so upset...
  17. Jean-Michel Manutea who tattoos at Imago in Montreal kills all styles of tribal, in my opinion. He's also a super nice dude. polynesian tattoo and art
  18. I just had a session on my right arm to add detail and shading to all of the leaves on my sleeve and it was sooo brutal. The leaves just so happened to all be conveniently located in places like my elbow, my elbow ditch, my inside bicep, under my wrist, etc. I'm glad it was only 3 hours because I don't think I could've handled any more. I've been tattooed in all of these spots before, but for some reason yesterday was the hardest session I've ever had to sit through. It was a struggle from the get-go. I guess getting a good nights sleep and eating well beforehand really does make a difference.
  19. Amazing. I really, really hope I'm in town for this show...
  20. OH SHIT! @Graeme do you know when/where the Om/Dan Higgs show is taking place?! I'd kill to see both Om and Dan Higgs individually, but together?! MIND = BLOWN
  21. I have my second session on my right arm sleeve with Hugues Lauzier today. I'm really looking forward to seeing it take shape and get tricked out further...
  22. I'd recommend finding a great local tattooer with a bunch of nice script in their portfolio to see what they can do in designing the names. My inclination is to always get nice script drawn up by hand as opposed to finding a font online.
  23. I most definitely feel your pain right now... I was tattooed 3 times this past week on three different body parts (my entire right arm, my right upper thigh, and the side of my left calf). Needless to say, sleeping, walking, sitting, standing, and lying down have all been a pain as a result. I'm itching and flaking all over the place! Thankfully it's all worth it for getting a bunch of cool tattoos, but I still can't wait until everything is all healed up.
