  6. I always envisioned Jack Rudy sounding like Mark Mahoney. I don't know the girl comic but this seems appropriate for the popular design thread. http://youtu.be/jCAJUgOzpNU

  8. I've been digging black and grey renditions of the ROA also lately -heres another Oh also saw a pic of Freddy Corbin tattooing shirtless ;damn if i had that ROA backpiece i wouldn't even own a shirt .
  9. Funnily enough a lot of that "stupid " stuff appeals to me also, the kinda stuff people wouldn't expect of the wearer.I'm not a biker but lately i find myself liking a lot of those 80's biker images that were quite crude but cool .
  10. When Higgs talks its with much emotion and conviction -"spiragraphed symbolic snot " .Nice one Shawn ,thanks mate
  11. Best car for surfing off was old volkswagon beetle ,the rear bumper stuck out and seemed made for it .
  12. Really enjoyed these ,thanks Lochlan. What more can i say about Luke Wessman ,seems to me he's already an innovator and he brings his own style drawn from many sources .With his attitude and work ethic seems he's on the up and up -more power to him
  13. Here's mine ,the best at least . 1.Public Enemy :It takes a nation of millions to hold us back. music with a message and for my mind Chuck D has the best rap voice of all time . 2.The Stranglers :Rattus Norvegicus . pure England Punk 1977 Oi Oi !! 3.Smashing Pumpkins :Melancholy and the Infinite Saddness 4.Jimi Hendrix : Electric Ladyland 5.Nirvana :Unplugged in New York a lot of times Nirvana were simply shit live ,on this night they were right on .Great covers of Bowie etc up there with the Pumpkins rendition of Rock On by David Essex, 6.Paul Oakenfold :Global Underground New York . trance D.j. Oakenfold at his best . 7.The Geto Boys :Grip it on that other level. already discussed on this site . 8.Soundgarden :Superunknown. makes me think of surfing and the beach . 9.Radiohead :Ok Computer. Feast your eyes .

Sumi ? Damn i read sushi and ordered a truck load ! kidding I've only read about it Julio, mainly in American Tattoo Master .As for the shop itself apparently it's a semi -secret -sacred location which is revealed to the Bloodwork boys by Chris Trevino in Osaka. Only thing like that in London involves masks and swingers .
  18. Reapers and biker stuff including biker font Angels A return to tribal but more Asian -Polynesian
  19. For a treat we love a good old Ruby Murry (curry).Widely accepted as the new national dish everyone here has their favourite curry house .Heres how we do it ; mint sauce and mango chutney spicy popadums chicken korma -mild lamb madras -hot mushroom pilau rice onion bahji bombay potato peshwari (fruit) naan bread Washed down with a Cobra beer
  20. Heres a testament to niche shops and the pleasure in finding such gems .I found this on the Analog blog it's the shoga nihon ga ten (sumi) shop in Osaka ,Japan .
  21. Heres a newer piece from Horitaka i think is superb .To me it illuminates what PShakman hit upon about "Lehi also employed restraint in not overwhelming the foreground."I love Japanese but i think it can often times appear too busy and when u step back find yourself lost in the details .Jerry also wrote about "concentrating too much on the principle and neglecting the background which is the true principle ".Horihide ,who influenced Jerry typified mastery of the background and if u look at his work it allways looks strong . Anyway Taka has produced a really powerfull and original piece with all the allure and boldness of traditional Western .I liken it to Marvel meets the Suikoden .
  22. Heres a different take on the classic by incredible Japanese artist Hiroshi Hirakawa .Hes just joined the staff at three-tides Osaka, i'm not sure of his role perhaps someone can shed some light ?
