  5. Age of Empires will always be one of my favorite older computer games from my childhood. I cant tell you the countless hours i've spent playing it. Have you tried The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim?
  6. There is a bunch you could do for filler, it all just depends on if you want a theme (not that you need one at all.) Some ideas i could think for you to look at are: Negative space Smoke Clouds Smaller tattoos as filler Stars and dots swirls outer space Water These are only some ideas that i could think of off the top of my head. Some will definitely be better ideas than others. Hope this helps!
  7. Welcome! The only advice I can give you, since you have picked out an artist and all is to talk to him or her about your ideas (they are the professionals after all) and they should be able to give you feedback.
  8. One album cover tattoo me and my wife has contemplated about getting is the cover to MGK's Black Flag album. We think it will transfer into a great tattoo. To us it is the album of the summer in which we got married. It also represents (for us) the refusal to never give up and to fight the good fight. Life is full of battles and we can accomplish anything together.
  9. My longest Tattoo session was on my chest piece, it was 6.5 hours. The session that felt like the longest was a 6 hour session on my ribs. Those two sessions were only half an hour difference, so i figured they were close enough to throw them both in.
  10. Heres a geeky Tattoo I got last year of Deku Link and the ominous moon from the game Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.
  11. Heres my chest piece that I had finished about 2 months ago. This piece took about 12 hours.
  12. GAH! It feels like i haven't been on here in forever. Ive been busy with school, my wedding, and of course getting some more tattoos. Since summer started I got a chest piece and have about 6 hours remaining work for my right rib piece.
  13. Hello everyone! After reading peoples stories about who they are, I thought I should share with you Who I am. Im not the best at talking about myself, as i find myself to be uninteresting and dumb. My name is Derek, I am currently 21. I grew up in a small town (pop. around 3000) in Montana. As a kid i had never really seen tattoos or anything like that but when i did they were usually on old military guys, looking back those tattoos were some of the coolest. I loved playing football and snowboarding when I reached high school freshman, but by my sophomore year I had knee problems and had to have surgery on my left knee. After i healed and everything was gravy I started doing sports again, only to have problems in my right knee. Countless doctor visits later I found out i had a tumor in my right knee. summer before junior year is when I got another knee surgery to remove the tumor (it was in my bone) and get a bone graph. Junior year is also when I found out my mother had lung cancer and met the love of my life. So of course I started getting wasted every weekend to push away bad thoughts about cancer and my mom. During my senior year after about a year of Chemotherapy my moms cancer had spread to her liver. The doctor gave her a week to live. Me and my family were there till the end. I had never lost someone close to me before so I didn't know what to do. It was good to have support from my Girlfriend and family. After my brothers and sister left and things were going back to "normal" (like they ever could) my dad passed away 10 weeks after my mom from a heart attack.(enough talking about this stuff.) The summer after graduating high school i got my first tattoo as a memorial for my mother, I wish i had researched it more because im not too happy with how it turned out. I love it but it needs to be better. (ill have it redone with the artist who has done all my work since.) After the summer i moved out of my hometown (too many good memories to stay around and feel sad) to go to college. I will be starting my third year this fall to be a nurse. I just want to help people, on an emotional level as well as physical. Something doctors cant do as well as nurses. Since starting school I have had 24 plus hours of work done in two years. I finally had my chest piece finished, and have a 1/4 sleeve (idk what else to call it). Now i am as happy is i can ever be, im getting married in one week to the love of my life. Sorry for the long post, like i said im not too interesting its hard to write about myself. Here is a picture of me and my Fiance.
  14. Just got back from my 21st birthday trip to vegas. Definitely the best trip I've had, the only downside to it was the Temperatures averaged 110 Degrees F. Unfortunately I didn't get a tattoo, but still a blast.
  15. This is entirely mind blowing! After going through all these pictures of so many people with so many bad tattoos I wonder, Does any of these people do any research at all? I mean come on, im not a smart guy in any sense, but whatever decision I make I usually do my research on whatever it might be so i can educate myself a little.
  16. I know this is an old thread but im curious to know, was he saved from the scratchers?
  17. And heres a link for all the different types of hipster: The 21 Types Of Hipster You Encounter In London
  18. Im guessing you cant show it off because of the method you use to heal it? Because everyone of my tattoos I can show people the day of that tattoo, but i usually wait a couple days.
  19. For me, placement just happens as I go (what i think would look best, related or not). I have been filling my upper arm with things that aren't too related, but i think as long as its the same style of tattooing, placement shouldn't be a problem for you. Just my two cents
  20. Just booked an appointment for me and my Fiance, Im getting a lantern on my chest that im having him freehand. This will be my first experience with freehand and im excited as can be. I cant wait to see how his style come out!
  21. Just to let you guys know....DO NOT buy Walking Dead: Survival Instincts....Worst purchase of my life, and I have bought some pretty terrible stuff before. The story is practically non-existant and the game mechanics are blocky.
  22. I completely get that, i thought the underside of my arm was going to be hell, but i almost fell asleep.
  23. Lucky you, my most recent tattoo just went a tiny bit into my armpit and i sure did feel it haha. And here i am wanting to get a shark in my armpit. I also agree with you that thighs are not very fun at all.
  24. So finally after waiting for a couple months i got to try out the super hot towel trick on my most recent tattoo. I have got to say that now that I have tried this i will never not do it again. I did this for about a week and after the first day of doing it i noticed my fresh tattoo was extremely soft, felt great, and stopped any swelling or redness. By the third or fourth day all of the skin that needs to come off had come off, which usually takes a day or two longer without using the hot towel. After the skin had come off the day after i was pretty much healed up and ready to start my lotion phase.
  25. @youthcrewalex, your Art is awesome! I really like the DBZ ones!
