We then spent 30 minutes talking about the various tattoos and where I got them. It was supposed to be a quick in-and-out, but I ended up sticking around and talking for a while. I've been busy with other things over the last year, so it was nice to get back into it all again. Yup. Collector.

I've got a few to add to this thread:

Blowout can really depend on severity. I have a couple of lines in the ditch that fuzzed out a bit - and you would never notice and I have a simple line tattoo that blew out pretty spectacularly from a good artist who I've seen a lot of work from, it can just happen. There really is a difference between an imperfection (which is cool) and spread (which is not).
The significant blowout is on the inside of my bicep - it's fragile skin and can happen. I was brutally bruised and I think that contributed to the spread. My sister got the exact same tattoo, same artist, same day on the inside of her wrist - hers is perfect. I'll admit I was quite upset about it (not at the artist - just that it happened) but wanted to wait to see how much of the blowout my body would deal with on it's own. It's been about 10 months and the spread has lightened quite a bit but it's still very noticeable.  When talked to my artist who is working on my sleeve (not the same artist as the blowout) he said it can just happen, that it's happened to him as well. He's is going to try and see if he can help it by disrupting the skin and not adding more pigment - if not we'll just thicken up the lines. I'll let you know how it goes.

Working on "The Division," right now. Pretty good so far, and the multiplayer system has been largely working for me. I recommend it - especially if you enjoyed games like Destiny.

I'm 45! And I would get tattooed every six weeks if I had the dough.

since we're doing ages,I should add, I'm an old guy at 56.
and yes,I would get tattooed every month if I had room on my body and funds to pay for it.

Just a note - women did not wear war bonnets so just something to be aware of. I don't know what exactly you're envisioning, but if you want something historically accurate you should look into the history of aboriginal bands to find guidance. Of course many people like the image of a woman wearing a war bonnet, so if its just the image you are interested in them I guess it won't matter much.

Heh, lots of us 45 year old types around here. I was on a tear for a few years and was getting tattooed every two weeks for months on end. I've stepped back a bit and I've only had 4-5 in 2015 and only 2 so far in 2016. I expect I'll do a few more this year, and hopefully I'll be back at the Montreal convention this year.
