  1. Welcome to the forums!

There is no need to be ashamed of your tattoo. We've got all kinds of folks with tattoos in all kinds of places, and I don't think most of them care about trends or generalized stigmas.

BUT, this a totally awesome opportunity to expand/cover that puppy into/with a back piece :). Just my .02. There are some great folks who can direct you to a tattooer who can see the tattoo in person and give you the best advice.

In the mean time, like iowagirl said, we'd love to see what you have!

  2. That's quite the layover. Yeah, the area immediately around seatac is kind of a hole, but there are some beautiful parks not too far away, and Seattle would be cool to visit. Pike place market (there is a badass little donut stand) space needle, and some fun restaurants on the pier.

Regardless if you leave the airport though, a small amount of comfort can be taken from the fact that seatac is a pretty nice airport with plenty of restaurants and a good little book store.

  3. Taking a week-long break from rolling around on staph-covered mats doesn't sound like a terrible idea.

Agreed. The healing on my left arm took 1/3 as long compared as my right because I took over a week off. No matter how much you clean those mats, any wound you have becomes an infection magnet. Also, the use of full length rash guard shirt and leggings will help act as a mild barrier for a young tattoo.--- according to the nurse who goes to my gym.

  4. One of my favorite concert moments was when Laika and the Cosmonauts(finnish surfer rock instrumental band) opened for Ministry in the mid 90's. A crowd dressed in black, guys wearing collars being led around by dominatrix's, the odd grunge fellow with a lit pipe; all of them turned In unison to watch a bunch of dudes with accents, wearing Hawaiian shirts, rocking out chill tunes on stage.

After the initial collective confusion, the best part occurred when people started to slowly get into it and began dancing. A ton of people wearing their carefully constructed goth ensembles forgetting about the eventual mosh pit that would form where they were. Some of whom were actually smiling, like someone just handed the mopey kid in school a free puppy, and they could set aside their angst for a little while.

Later on that night, Ministry came on and fucking killed it, breaking the spell with a solid set and vocals that rob zombie only wishes he could maintain through a whole show.

Heh, I apologize for the nostalgia. Yar :)

  5. Welcome to the forums :). If you need any advice this is a great place for it. You can ask your question here, or use the search function to see if it's already been answered.

Anyways, I'm 18 and I live in Colorado. I love all things outdoorsy, I'm super lazy, and I love The Legend of Zelda more than life itself. Im into all kinds of art and traveling. I guess you could say I'm kind of a weirdo.)

On another note, based upon this you love to sit on the couch in a motor home playing Zelda, leaving the door open at rest stops so animals can come inside and help you paint.

I fully support your obsession with Zelda, and welcome again.

  6. You are a nice guy Dan, and it's awesome that you feel comfortable sharing your life with relative strangers. I love to meet new folks (especially those with common interests), hear about their lives, and talk about whatever. It does seem though, and I'm sure that much of your recent trials are contributing to this, that you are an exposed nerve. One that experiences some emotional extremes without much of a buffer in between either the good or the bad stuff.

You already know this, but dealing with hundreds of strangers, especially on the internet will inevitably strike that nerve from time to time. I would recommend not taking everything to heart and relax, whilst at the same time hopefully others will have that same patience when people get excited to share their lives and put themselves out on a limb (especially on the random crap forum, har).

These forums are a great resource for education, and even though that is the ultimate goal (at least to my limited understanding, being a F.N.G), a little frivolity can be healthy.

That is until the My Little Pony spam begins, then heads will roll.

My .02, sorry if I'm over-stepping. Lets all go out for drinks, have a good times, and discuss our next tattoos. Peace!
