Bunny Switchblade got a reaction from Kumoku in 7 year old tattoo artist-in-training?!
I think the people getting tattooed know she is 7 years old and looks to be doing a tattoo that most apprentices would be doing! So they know what tattoo they are getting....it's an apprentice tattoo....and without people willing to let apprentices tattoo them then none of the artist any of us go too would be where they are now!
There are a lot of tattoo artists that started very young who came from tattooing families and as was said.....if no laws are being broken then there is no real harm!
Filip Leu.....Frank Lee....and I am sure there are others who started younger in this same manner!
It doesn't matter if her dad is a Leu or of some other famous tattooing name.....as long as he is teaching her proper technique and is bringing her along properly like any apprentice!
My first tattoo was on "Tattoo" George Benjamin at Hobo's in NH.....I had never picked up a machine to tattoo before and at his insistence that we "trade" tattoos I tattooed him!
I bet her tattoos are better than the little flower I did on George! LMFAO
There is nothing wrong with this as long as it is within the law!

(not done by Grillo....but similar type work)
I work with my hands and I just have a feeling they will hold up better than most people think but then I take better care of my tattoos than the general population does too!

I don't even realize I am tattooed anymore.....I always think maybe there is a stain on my shirt or food in my teeth.....LOL! Stares or comments don't bother me much anymore......and yeah you do hear some really strange things come out of peoples mouths BUT I have also heard some of the same things come out of people who are less tattooed than others are too!

    Okay....funny story....maybe a little off topic though....
I had a girl I was dating come to visit me several years ago.....she was moderately tattooed! She told me at the airport she was sitting there and everyone seemed to be staring in her direction.....in fact so much so that she was seriously thinking about asking why everyone was staring at her so much....."Haven't you seen a tattooed woman before???"....is what she was thinking!
Then she realized........she was sitting under the Television......LMFAO!

1.) Why do people want things right away anymore???
    Hubby says it's McDonalds fault!
You used to go in and sit down and have a meal.....even if it wasn't with the family.....you would sit at the counter and order your food while they cooked it in front of you and that took a little bit of time! Most people would eat there at the counter as well and still do in a lot of towns!
But do you see the way people act if they go to McDonalds drive thru and their food isn't ready in less that the two minutes they drive around to get it??? It's like the world is coming to an end because their food isn't there so they can just drive right away! LOL
2.) My hubby is a printer (printing presses and such) and in that industry the "designers" always "owned" the right to the work the produced! The "hard copy" was theirs......the fee you were paying was for them to do the design work (ie....the illistration or typesetting) but they actually owned the rights to their work!
If you wanted an actual logo designed the price was always a lot more.....so you actually owned the right to your logo! Then you would pay them to do the typesetting and such!
Likewise....the negatives and plates belonged to the printer!
You were paying for the process to make them....not the physical items themselves!
Interesting fact.....Ernie Carafa had his own negatives and plates made when he printed all the Guideline flash so that he "owned" everything!!!
No one could ever reproduce those sheets without Ernie having a hand in it or being able to take them to court for reproducing it! Smart!!!
I think that this is the argument with artists now.....they own the right to their original art and you are just paying the "fee" to have it applied to you!
My personal feeling is.....once YOU post something online or YOU allow someone else to post it.....it is going to become "flash!" You may not have intended it to be......you may not want it to be used.....but it's going to happen even if it is just used as reference and changed slightly!
Right or wrong.....it's going to happen!

Side of my head is tattooed!
For me it was the most painful tattoo I have gotten.....but I hear others say it wasn't bad at all!
Mine was done in two sessions and the lining was not too bad.......the second session of shading and blending was horrible!

I always tell people that you made a conscious decision to be "different" than the rest of
society so you have no reason to complain!
It's how I have felt since my first tattoo....so I don't complain or generally be ignorant back!

Bunny Switchblade got a reaction from The Tig in Your overall look as a tattooed person
I never really cared to much about this......my first was a visible tattoo before tattoos became "fashionable." I don't think I ever "planned" to be this heavily covered BUT I am seeing it happen a lot more now than it was happening 15 years ago! People seem to be rushing to get covered for some reason not thinking what those tattoos are gonna look like in 40 years!
Take your time.....get good tattoos.....and if you are worried about what others think of your tattoos then you probably aren't someone who should be getting tattooed!
(that last comment was not directed at any one person.....just in general)

"Rules" might be the wrong term.....but I would need to respectfully disagree with your "Just go for it" statement!
Although the views on tattoos have definitely changed over the last 7-10 years we are not out of the woods yet! Trust me I have been tattooed for almost 30 years and those of us who have been tattooed that long know how a tattoo can keep you out of certain jobs and in my case stopped me from getting a promotion into management!
Some cities in the U.S. (all I can speak too) are more "tattoo friendly" but there are still people who will not hire people with visible tattoos!
I also grew up in a time where you had to "earn" those spaces (hands and neck) by being pretty heavily covered! I know it is an artists job to put on what the client wants but i guess i am just a little "old school" maybe when it comes to those spots!
I think it's silly to see someone with their hands done and just about nothing else on their forearms (same with necks but no sleeves).
People definitely looked at me differently after getting my hands and especially my neck done and although after you have been stared at for so long you tend not to notice it BUT they still stare....LOL
It's sad......but there is still prejudice out there and if you aren't a tattoo artist or work in the craft then it is a bit more difficult to climb the corporate ladder with visible tattoos. I hope that does become a thing of the past.....but we aren't there quite yet!
While I do understand it is an artists job to do what the client asks....I tend to respect more the artists who in the back of their minds at least think twice before they tattoo someones hands or neck!
Just my humble opinion and stating it as respectfully as I can! :)

@soraya, I like your comment about how you, as a tattooed person, sometimes stare at tattoos, and you're right, so do I, in appreciation! So the stares are not always in horror or distaste, and sometimes I really wish someone would stop so I could look more closely to see them. You just don't know what someone will perceive as rudeness, though.
I also like your comment, @Bunny Switchblade, about how people are people, and you aren't "a tattooed person" but just "a person," as this is a conversation I have with my daughters all the time. We tend to label people, categorize them, since it is human nature to do so, but it shouldn't be much different than, like you say, someone with jewelry versus without, or short hair versus long, spectacles versus contact lenses, etc.

I never even thought or worried about something like this honestly!
I got tattooed for me and most of the time I never think of myself as a "tattooed person".....I am just another human being that instead of adorning myself with gold and silver jewelry and the "latest fashion" decided to add some color to her body!
I'd like to see people move past seeing others as "tattooed people".....nothing special....nothing different!
    We're all just people.....
    My 2 cents
