  1. reposting these because of broken links. so here are mine again, :) Dave Gibson @ Quarter Horse Tattoo in Stockton CA and these are all Oliver Peck,2 done at a Fresno CA show, and one done at SF show. and since my wife doesn't post here, these are hers from Oliver Peck at the same 2 shows as me,we love getting tattooed at conventions. thanks for looking, and happy new year !
  2. @Mabel very nice ! I like that one a lot :)
  3. my opinion is I wouldn't give a F*** what anyone else thought about it if it's what I want. " cultural appropriation ", it seems to me with all the political correctness gone wrong, everything people do offends somebody ! If I like a tattoo,I either like the art or it means something to me personally,I don't get it to offend anyone,I have several tattoos that are from other cultures,so what ? I think people need to lighten up a little.nobody owns a style or art form.
  4. https://www.yahoo.com/news/ink-master-star-clint-cummings-144127802.html RIP, it's a loss to the tattoo community. way too young cancer sucks
  5. I have an appointment on 01/13/17 for a "13" and a couple flowers with a local artist. to start some small fill on my legs, and to finally get a 13,funny I have never had one done,my bday is 10/13.
  6. the poll looks way better, much easier and organized ! good job on it @Iwar
  7. 9 weeks is not even healed, let it go 6 months and look at it again,as long as it's not infected, relax and let it heal. that doesn't look infected IMO. most artists offer free touch ups if needed. (be sure and tip them for supplies)
  8. I love that stuff too, best ever healing,(as long as it's on a good spot on your body),I thought it would be cool if they made an opaque version to be worn in the sun,I spoke with them and suggested that.anyway,it's the coolest shit ever,I do a lot of traveling and getting tattooed, and it is for sure the best on a plane coming home.set it and forget it ! LOL PS,the places on your body I was referring to is places like hands and neck that doesn't work so well.
  9. website info coming in January incl list of artists www.bayareatattooconvention.com https://www.instagram.com/bayareatattooconvention/
  10. not a portrait ,but I had my girl walk on an ink pad then paper,so these are her exact paw prints.
  11. hell ! if you're going to do both anyway, and the artist has the time, just do them both at the same visit, may as well ! see how it feels and go from there ? it's going to hurt the same now or later.
  12. I wanted to add this one,it's not my first, but probably my 2nd or 3rd from around 1985,I still love this one. and as long as the tattoo of the month is skulls,I thought my old school skull patch is pretty cool. this was by California Ralph @ world famous emporium of tattoos in Van Nuys, Ca RIP Ralph
  13. red ink typically does weird shit on some people,as was said, leave it alone and let it heal, keep it clean
  14. welcome ! post tattoo remorse is a common and real feeling,I have had it many times, and I still get it to this day ! IMO it's a "buyers remorse" in a way. my post tattoo remorse is always about the money not the tattoo though, LOL but it always quickly goes away after a week or so,then I start planning my next one ! LOL you're screwed now ! it's an addiction worse then any drug ! but WAY better ! my addiction started in 1985 and has only gotten worse ! P.S. that's the beauty of "tattoo remorse" ! what's done is done, and it's on you,so love it,like it,live with it,try and learn ,and go on to the next one.
  15. ya,I'm 57 ,unfortunately our ages are more prone to blowouts too, you're right.I just got that neck tattoo in May of this year. I'm sure your tattoo will look great !
  16. @Makar also,I have a neck tattoo that had the same kind of blow out in that exact area, blowouts can happen to anyone anywhere on their body by even the best artists. if you look at mine, there is only blowout at the bottom 1/3 where that soft thin skin is. but like I said, that area is notorious for blowouts.it is what it is,I stressed over it at first, but I'm ok with it now.I think me trying to have it fixed would only make it worse. mine is worse than yours I think. .
  17. welcome Stephen ! and that looks like a great start to a great cover up and tattoo !
  18. it should be fine,I actually don't apply saniderm until about the first 24 to 48 hours after the tattoo was applied, most all the plasma/liquid has oozed out by then,I leave it on for 4 or 5 days after that. in that first 24 to 48 hours don't forget to scrub it in warm with the palm of your hand water a few times a day with an anti-microbial soap too. also before you scrub with your palm be sure and wash with that same soap, like this \/ after each wash I use clean new paper towels to pat dry the tattoo before using cocoa butter(which is what I use) but whatever you like to use. and before you apply the saniderm, make sure your skin is clean, dry, and ointment free.
