wow,that's a lot of nice tattoos,crazy short amount of time,pretty cool Adam.

eat sugars,I eat Skittles and MM's before and during my tattoo,as well as a good meal right before and pre-hydrate the day before and during the tattoo with water. . my mix of M&M's and Skittles works great for me,and yes,standing up right after a tattoo is always weird,you are endorphin high at that moment,after a long tattoo like that,I grab my water,relax,breath for a few minutes before anything else.hell,after a 6 hour session I can't even count money ! LOL

I don't have any back work done,but this was a 9 hour one shot,and I made it through,a little endorphin high,but I made it,like was said,if you have your back done,you will be fine with a side/rib piece.

since we're doing ages,I should add, I'm an old guy at 56. and yes,I would get tattooed every month if I had room on my body and funds to pay for it.

stop using vaseline,maybe just use a little fragrance free Lubriderm,but let it breath to heal.from that pic,looks ok.

that tri-tip looks great ! TT is pretty much my favorite beef roast to bbq. it's one of the toughest to get just right.looks like you nailed it.

ya,I agree,location and color too for me, yellow,blue,and some reds heal terrible(depending on location).I just got my leg & hand tattoo(10 days ago),on the same day,same colors,and my leg(inner thigh) healed 10x better than my hand is.

yep,I wash starting after 3 or 4 hours after the tattoo application in a warm shower scrubbing the tattoo with the palm of my hand with a anti-microbial soap and then 2 or 3 times a day for the first 3 or 4 days.

I know ! I had not either,I have been getting tattoos for a long time,when I was in my 20's & 30's etc etc,no big deal,no bruising,so I guess I just write it off now that I am 56 and my skin is different,the bruising is gone now,but the last couple years of tattoos I have experienced this bruising.Oh well,I should be happy that I am still kickin' ! LOL

I have had bruises on my inner upper arm last summer and on my inner thigh just last weekend from getting tattoos.pretty normal,it will go away. I got it from last weekend,like I said,mine always go away.it can also bruise from the tattooer grabing your arm or leg while tattooing. this pic below was a couple days after the tattoo and a couple days ago and looking at it now the bruising is already fading.

yep ! I have an old one from 95 when my mom passed away,it's an old school tattoo. she was sick with cancer,so I got the main tattoo so she could see it,then I added the RIP & date after she passed,but I was very happy and she liked it when I got the heart and banner.

so we went to the Fresno,CA tattoo expo yesterday and had all saturday afternoon with Oliver Peck. Central Valley Tattoo . I got these two, . . . . and this one on my left lower thigh,it's a little bruised now. and Saniderm on it. . . . and my wife got this . . . . we had a really great day getting tattooed together at a convention,it was awesome.

yep ! I agree,an artist that is confident & creative with cover ups is worth their weight in gold,like Alycia Harr that did this for me.

september of 2015 I got my right arm/shoulder done from Alycia Harr, but the itch got me,so me and my wife are both getting tattooed feb 2016,we got back to back appointments with Oliver Peck in Fresno,it will be fun for us to go th the same tattoo show and get tattooed the same say by the same artist.

I just booked 2 back to back appointments Feb 27th in Fresno with Oliver Peck for my wife & myself,to get some of his American trad.
