So this is what happened yesterday, last tattoo of the year and until scottish convention in march (if I got extra cash by then)

Tattoo by Iain Mullen, original design by myself. It is super strange, but it makes me super happy, that some tattooers that I REALLY like pressed "like" on this tattoo. When I checked yesterday it also had Thomas Hooper and Greg Christian on the list. I mean, who am I?

hey everybody, I'm alex from brooklyn. I have two pieces so far, one on my forearm and one on the underside of my arm. I'm planning on getting a chubby pin up from Ashley Love soon as well as a wolf head. This forum's wealth of tattoo history is amazing and I'm very glad I found this place.
here's what I have, sorry that these photos are fresh and not healed, the red in the first one has calmed down a bit but it still does look like her ass has been freshly slapped

just scheduled a consult with ashley love to plan out my next piece, I know I want a chubby babe but after seeing a piece she did with a sundae I kind of want to incorporate food into it somehow. I'm beyond excited

This isn't super related to the thread, but kinda. Anyways, a few days ago I noticed a pretty nice looking rose tattoo peaking out of the shirt sleeve of the professor who I'm a TA for, and I asked him about it, something like "Hey I saw you had a tattoo on your bicep earlier, I didn't realize you had any it looks pretty nice." And he tells me that he has that one and another one, a panther on his other arm. So I knew he lived in San Francisco for a while, so naturally being the tattoo nerd I am, I ask him where he got it. Apparently, in the late 90s he just happened to walk into Ed Hardy's Tattoo City and ended up getting a crawling panther from Tim Lehi when he was working there. He said at the time he had no idea who Ed Hardy was or anything. He was also pretty surprised when I started nerding out about how big of a deal Tim Lehi and all those dudes who were at Tattoo City at the time are now (Dan Higgs, Tim Lehi, Jef Whitehead, etc). Anyways, the tattoo is pretty rad and it blows my mind that there are so many people out there who just stumble into getting amazing tattoos with no idea that the artist might be one of the most well known and respected in the world, meanwhile, I (and probably lots of others on this forum) spend hours and hours and hours looking up artists in different cities, traveling 10+ hours in a single day (some of you are flying halfway across the world) just to get tattooed by these very same artists.

Sounds like the biggest issue you're having is that other people at your office can get away with having tattoos and you can't. Or you feel you can't because you sacrificed a nose ring and hair color to get where you are today. Which is great that you've made it to a respectable position, but why go after others?
Without getting into it too much, I agree that there is a time and place for everything. And that a large, corporate company isn't the place to go "showing off" tattoos, and most likely, these are younger folks who feel the need to assert their own unique individuality and feelings, etc. But looking at it from the perspective of someone who has to wear long sleeves/pants to cover all of my own, when I wear a short sleeve shirt, I am not "showing off." I am trying to not sweat my balls off, Gold Bond or no, on a 100 degree day. If a woman with tattoos wears a dress that happens to show them off, I probably wouldn't think, "What a slut, flaunting her tits and tattoos..." (Well, depends on the lady..)
Anyway, most people in this world are stuck in offices for one reason or another, and I do think it's appropriate to dress accordingly. But it sounds like you're the one with the issue here. If the female with the chest tattoo was a problem, they wouldn't have hired her. Maybe you don't have anything against tattoos, but it sounds like you've definitely got something against people with tattoos. If you want tattoos, too, go get 'em. I bet you could keep them covered nearly all of the time if you wanted.
