Nothing planned below the knees for the moment. Kicking around some ideas but don't relish the pain associated with knee caps and knee ditch, haha. No plans for anything on my front torso either. My right thigh is open at the moment and already have some ideas. Will probably see Henning towards the end of this year for him to color in the phoenix.

@Russ Your Vargas piece is INSANE! LOVE LOVE the details and the colors. WOW!
Yeh the lower legs scare me a bit, but I'm still going for the full legs. Too many beautiful motifs I want.

Chris cooks is a very modern style though right? Steve Wrigley is another great choice.

Horikitsune does great work, although I noticed some of his recent pieces were drifting away from traditional style. I'll have to check through his portfolio again.
The guy that does my work Nico has quite a similar style to Jason, if you wanted to continue along that road. He is not far from London. If that doesn't do it for you then I also really like Kanae at nine tails tattoo along with what everyone else has already mentioned.

Welcome! I also love traditional Japanese and hope to achieve a full body suit one day.

First I just want to get a rant out of the way.
There was a picture of a tattoo done by Mike Rubendall posted on a tattoo community, and the comment's really annoyed me about how it was badly done, messed up face ect... It was a typical Japanese style tiger that looked great.
Everyone is, of course, entitled to their opinions about their favourite styles but the ignorance of these people got to me a bit
Tattoo enthusiasts should really know about the influence of Ukiyo-e and Japanese tattoos.
Anyway I thought we could have a thread to share some of our favourite Ukiyo-e pieces.
This was the piece by Rubendall, and a Ukiyo-e tiger.

Yes! Greyhounds!
I have 3 right now, been rescuing them since I was 12 years old, I'd never be without them.

Welcome, +1 on the pics.

Welcome, anywhere I can see some of your Japanese work mate? I'm a big fan of traditional Japanese and am always interested in seeing new stuff!

Welcome!

That's such a nice piece. Very unique.

Any plans to extend that Japanese sleeve @Gregor?

I know you weren't looking for a 'get what you want answer'. But it really is just going to come down to personal taste. Plenty of people love to sample tattoos from all different styles, some want a full body all in one style.
In my opinion there is more beautiful tattoo than traditional Japanese full body suit.
The fact that you are asking the question suggests you are interested in doing something else? So why not go for it?

Ok post up some pics in this thread.
Thanks

Can you show us some examples of his work?

You won't get much love for people working out of their houses. That is not professional, please do not get tattooed from someone working out of a house, there are plenty of good studios where you can get a safe and good piece of work.
Please don't take this the wrong way either, just trying to help you.

Welcome! What is the name of the shop your friend works at?
