Battered and bruised! Had my first session on my back with Chris over at Kings Ave this past Thursday. I managed to get through 4 hours to complete the basic outline with the exception of the hair on the severed heads. Saving that for the next session along with the remaining background. I'm super excited to continue to work on this and see it progress over time as this is what I've been busting my hump at work for the past year now and it's absolutely completely worth it.

Really like this back piece from Matt Mooney. The skull is very Grime I think but he definitely has his own thing going on which is dope.

Here it is, my naked self on a cold winters night...finished and healed pics of my back by Dean Sacred.

After nine sessions and around 55hours we have finished my back piece tonight. Healed pics to come....I am extremely happy with the end result and relieved to be finished.

7th session. 7 hours of snake scales

Another one down, 6th session.

5th session. 5 hours of arse and hamstrings background. Im glad I only have one arse crack and that I don't have to get it tattooed again,its a fun spot.

4th hit on my back. 7 hours on veil and leaves. Once healed veil will be an opaque grey to distinguish from the black and grey background, everything under the veil will be boosted once healed aswell,Thanks.

@Iwar Thanks mate But I know what you have, Grime, Lehi, Sylvia, Conn......Im doing a bit of hating too,haha. Yeah I went to Japan twice and had four sessions with master Shige. Was the most expensive trips I think I will ever make in a lifetime but most definitely worth it and great experience, not to mention a bad ass tattoo too.

Second hit on my back. Lined the butt and hamstring, put scales on the snake. All outlines on now so should see some good progress after the next couple sessions. Stoked on how this is turning out. Sorry for the full moon shots its the only way to show this off!!

Hello everyone! It's been quiet from me for a while here now, that'a because I've been working on this leg with Marius Meyer! We did it in only three REALLY painful sessions :cool: never tattooing the side of my stomach ever again! hahah But I'm soo happy with how it turned out!

Come on Matthew we all want to help you get better tattoos that you will be over the moon with. There are world class, highly respected tattooers that frequent these forums and a plethora of tattoo enthusiasts with a wealth of knowledge in the culture of tattoos. I can almost certainly tell you by adding more stars or text around your tattoo will not improve it but worsen what you have. If you are still unhappy with it after some TIME then laser treatments and/or a well executed cover up is your best bet to getting over the moon.

Good on you bro I hear what you are saying. I have been guilty myself of letting my emotions get the better of me from times and jumping on certain people. On another note my mother in law got her first tattoo today from the best shop in NZ and great tattooer Dan Anderson. I was able to steer her in the right direction and now she has outlines of a sweet tiger on rocks with cherry blossoms on her back, its amazing how a bit of educating can alter the end result. On a lighter note I hope your divorce isn't too messy, at least you know she can't take your tattoos with her....sorry bro I couldn't help myself, head up mate and full steam ahead.;)
