  1. Looking great! I think that many artists can tell how it is affecting you, and how much you can handle.
  2. I really like that. Three hours isn't all that bad.
  3. Hannah, every artist has their own post-tattoo method. Yours sounds much like mine - bandage for about half-hour, wash, pat dry, keep it clean, leave it alone. Apply non-sented moisturizer lightly when it gets dry/starts to peel. But some use the derms, some use cling wrap. My artist's method has done very well for me.
  4. Go to a dermatologist, not a tattooist.
  5. You will be most satisfied if you can be happy with a good cover-up. I had a professional tattoo lazered for three sessions and then corrected by a different artist. Four years later, the minor scaring halo has turned into a cool drop-shaddow. But, both during and after the process you must use patience.
  6. No, not even a member of any tattoo FB groups. Just thought it would be an interesting discussion. For myself, I guess it would be the cameo of my wife. It came out just perfect.
  7. On the way home from town yesterday, we passed about 12 turkey buzzards enjoying a lunch next to the highway. They were not practicing social distancing. But, immediately thought of Anxious. That piece is going to be fantastic.
  8. Never done anything that big, but what I have has left me with no distinct memories of the pain - even a few hours later. I remember it hurt, but not how it hurt. That helps. That yours looks so freaking awesome should dull any pain that it caused you!
  9. I got to thinking today. Of my tattoos, which one do I love the most? Not that I have that many, but I just can't pick a favorite.
  10. Yes, but that will change. Plan is to return her to very close to stock and ride her. Discovered last night that a PO had put .25 mm oversize pistons in without rebore or even honing. Keeps me busy. Friend I sold Johnny 5 to says that I didn't know it, but I was building it for him all along.
  11. Sold Johnny 5 yesterday to a good friend and started on a '76 RD400 that I picked up a couple weeks ago.
  12. I would be happy also, Hollie! A very attractive artwork.
  13. The casual observer would never notice the original unless you brought attention to it.
  14. They are tattoos, an should reflect the individual and their artists. So, just like color and style, size will vary by individual.
  15. It may be a disappointment, but I would look for another artist.

    hi

Hello. Do (I think ) ten posts and then you can post in others. This is to screan out spam/bots, etc. https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/guidelines/
  17. Vivid has announced reopening after Friday as soon as their N95 masks arrive. Door will be locked and you'll have to call from the parking lot to get in. Was hands 1st thing when you enter while they disinfect your phone. Sent from my LG-K371 using Tapatalk
  18. There is a vintage motorcycle club that meets in Knoxville at the Time Warp Tea Room. For 2020 (before the virus thing) we have a challenge to put 20 old bikes back on the road. I found a '78 GoldWing that had been off the road for at least 9 years and finally stashed in a fence row. Drug it home, stripped it down and proceeded to rescue it. It is finally ready for serious road testing. I named it "Johnny 5" because it is the 5th GL1000 I've owned.
  19. Very awesome, @Jae ! Good luck in your employment search. I understand that beside restocking and logistics work in retail stores, healthcare facilities are looking for people with applicable experience to handle their masdive loads of patients. I would think anyone with experience in steril practice (and a desire to help people) would be useful.
  20. Many of the artists should be checking with hospitals and health departments. These are looking for people with experience in sterile practice.
  21. Another GoldWing rescued. Bought in December 2019 from a fence row in Kentucky. Still needs paint and a front tire, but this derelict is a runner again after at least 9 years.
  22. Put the 3rd GoldWing on the road today. A '79 that I plan to use as my daily driver in hot weather as it is neked. Still need to upgrade the shocks and put a lower set of handlebars on it, but it is running great!
  23. Well, playoffs and finals are over. I was kind of hoping Cousins would have a chance to redeem himself for a good contract next year, but that didn't happen. Then all the trades changed the leaque without even considering in the new recruits. I prefer college ball, anyway. I doubt you will get a great tattoo from an artist or atmosphere you don't like. Even if it were to turn out as great art, the experience would be so hard to wipe out. I had one bad piece and the artist was either rude, talking to others (a friend of his came in and talked with him for 15 minutes while he was working on me), yelling at an apprentice, or silent. The shop was clean, but the receptionist only spoke to me once and went back to her magazine (even though I had complimented a recent piece she had on a shoulder). The apprentice did seem friendly when i took a break to pee. He was copying flash in the hallway. I ended up getting a tattoo there that I disliked soo much that I had it lasered down to where another artist could do it right. Even if the ink had been perfect, the experience tainted it in my mind.
  24. Anyone going? I may try to go one night. I have a bike show on Saturday, but it will be over by 3 pm giving me time to get the bike home, unloaded, and back in town by about 6. Sunday afternoon might be good. Looks like they are trying to add things on Sunday to entice folks to hang around. http://www.knoxvilletattooconvention.com/ https://m.facebook.com/events/363372881200466?__referral_info_referrer_type=page&__referral_info_mechanism=unknown
