24hour delay between PM and email notification

Before if someone send me a PM I got an email notification straight away but lately it has been about 24 hours before I get an email after receiving a PM. I use the message system here as a slowchat with some people and sometimes I miss or reply late to messages because they don't pop up in my email inbox. Any one know how to fix this?

tip: quit your job and sit in front of your computer all day instead. then you won't miss a thing on LST!

There will always be a delay since the software sends the emails in batches instead of instantly, but how long is the delay for you?

I haven't received an email about private messages that I sent and received yesterday (at about 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM PST) and today.
