  1. I wonder how many other LSTers are professional writers? Also-Happy Birthday @hogg
  2. So last night after "Mad Men", they previewed some new competition show about ad agencies. Seriously- AD AGENCIES? You know why people watch "Mad Men"? Because they have beautiful ACTORS playing interesting characters- I venture to say people don't watch because they give a fuck about advertising. And there in lies the rub- we have culture that is more focused on being a "personality" than true talent and creativity with a subject. Can't we go back to focusing on a person's creative output vs. their shitty attempt at a 'star' persona?
  3. Yeah, when it comes to shoes, I don't where them because the shoes I work out in are usually not that great (although I have found Sambas are great for their flatness) So on the subject of supps/ food, what are you guys taking/ eating while you train?
  4. Not to derail, but this video is crazy!
  5. Kevin Martin's Razor X Productions is also crazy- Industrial dub/ ragga DnB: I was in the drum n bass/ rave scene from 95' to about 00', so I watched that sound and style evolve. But my intro to all this was Meat Beat Manifesto, Renegade Soundwave, and Massive Attack. I'm still a big DnB fan, but mainly really dark stuff like Ed Rush/ No U-Turn, Current Value, Cooh, Gein,
  6. I'm a fan of both Broadrick's and Martin's projects. To me, Technoanimal's "Brotherhood of the Bomb" predated all the bass heavy/ glitch/hip hop influence that's permeated dubstep now.
  7. I do both deads and squats shoeless and prefer it- I just feel more balanced.

    Secret Wars

Evidently they were here a few weeks ago: I was busy painting live somewhere else at the time ;)
  9. @kylegrey what was your weight and BF% in those pics? I'm pretty sure at my current age, I'd be pretty hard pressed to get even close to that.

    Art thread.

That's ROA http://www.fatcap.com/artist/roa.html This is what I've been working on the last few weekends: 5x9 Jaguar: Spider skull from yesterday. Limited colors/paint on this one, but fun none the less:
  11. Every day for me. In a debt-free world, it'd probably be once a month or so.
  12. Just watched the Godoy Bros. segment on youtube. Netflix has a page for the movie, but no watch or rent link = (
  13. Anyone know how you can drop people/ quit games? People that write stuff out vs. even trying to draw something suck at life.
  14. If the moon is behind the building, what's the blue light source on her hands?
  15. It reminds me of the part in "Horismoku..." where Ed Hardy talks about how Sailor Jerry used to run off reporters doing "human interest pieces". They're not interested in humans, they want freaks.
  16. LOL-awesome that you know about dead horse! I re-drew their flyers all over everything-bookcovers, skate decks, jackets. Wore my "Horsecore" cassette out
  17. Ah highschool: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_poIPdmo8w&feature=related and an old local band I was into growing up, deadhorse
  18. To clarify my last post, I guess it blew up for Cho, but then again she got people on the internets talking about/ defending her. I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess Chris Trevino and also Thomas Hooper. The common thread here seems to be artists that are known for large scale intricate work.
  19. I go to tattooers for tattoos; their personal beliefs are their own.
  20. Sounds like that kind of thing can blow up in your face: Margaret Cho Rightfully Loses Her Shit
  21. I have a friend that has the "Knowledge" skull with the mortarboard and pipe on a book. Rite of passage tattoos are great.
  22. That's cool as shit, Hands On; I'm going to go with a .0001% chance that you'll run into someone that recognizes the source like you did. Most people will just see that and go "Solid/cool tattoo."
