  1. Damn, That is a straight up copy, like it was flash. Sorry bro... Though it comes with the territory of posting your pieces online, same for the artists... I see it all the time on IG original artist riping copy cats apart, one example that comes to mind right away is Cassady Bell Who is having the same issue, though he now deleted his post.

  2. My wife seemed kind of flattered by the cameo of her (of course, it was done from a 34 year old photo). I can kind of understand them not wanting their husband wearing a permanent likeness of some other woman - even if it is a random one.

Don't get me wrong my wife and I love each other very much. 13yrs in to our marriage (not counting our time before) and 3 kids... We both understand that things can happen.

  3. So Saturday I got asked if I I wanted to do a Geo/B&W Realism Portrait for this upcoming expo in SA. I jumped all over it, When I got the details I found that the portrait is of a woman, I still was ok with it...

Well it turns out the wifey is not ok with me getting a woman portrait specially realism and on my thigh. So this AM I had to back out...

I suspect the artist was some what suspicious because he did ask me... Are you ok with a woman portrait?

Shit... I am ok, Is all good with me!

BUT on the mist of discussing the plans for this week end we had the talk of the pieces I am getting up in SA... Than it hits.... Huge argument wish I quickly lost... Than I had to go back and think at one of the things I allways preach about... I am not the only one that is going to look at this for the rest of my life.... So is my wife... So I had to go back to rule number "If the wife is not happy, nobody is"

This one was my fuck up...

    I feel horrible and depress.

Not only because I didnt think about my wife but because I possibly fucked up a spot for my artist.

I did told him that I am open for anything else just cant do a womans face... :( :( :(

    Update:

We are still a go. We change the subject matter, YAY!!!!

  4. Hi guys! Sorry I've been so slack & inactive lately! Work / study has been killing me! I do lurk from time to time however :P

I flew to Auckland (another city within New Zealand) to catch Erin Chance while she was in the country & I took up all her free time here outside of the Tattoo Festival, because I'm greedy.

We tattooed all day Thursday Friday Saturday, around 10hr days.. But I started & finished a full back piece.. Not including butt haha as said above ^^ I think it must finish about an inch or two lower than tailbone. Haven't decided whether I'll extend down further, probably not at this stage!

It sucked, but it was worth it! Photos on my profile xD

    Amazing. Truly amazing.

  5. Great Idea homie. Go for it.

    You bet!

Saw an owl today at work in the tree. incredible to see them in real life. I recommend to go see them in the zoo or maybe with a guide for some owlspotting.

    Awesome idea, Thanks!

  6. So I have read through some of this thread and will admit I haven't made it through 36 pages worth. But I just got some tatuderm after getting work done on Monday. I really enjoy it that it breathes and is flexible but I was curious, when people peal it off, does it seem to grab on the tattoo at all? The first day my artist placed a little aquafor underneath and I didn't have am issue, when I replaced it I went off the instructions and it says not too so I didn't. I went to remove it to clean it about a day and a half later and it adhered to the tattoo as well. Has anyone else had this experience? And if so, what was done?

I am curios about this too sense I just got my order of saniderm in yesterday...

I am going to use it on my foot piece.

  7. Since you're using saniderm, you should also consider some kind of gauze tape/wrap. I used it to heal one foot and healed the other without anything. Made a big difference in keeping swelling down.

I had saniderm over the tattoo, and then wrapped the gauze around the foot and ankle (almost like an athletic wrap), just tight enough to provide a little support but still fairly loose. Washed the tattoo several times a day and reapplied fresh saniderm and gauze wrap. Healed very well, no pain or swelling.

    Thanks!

    Will follow this!

  8. Hahahaha, good because I'm sure #neotatmachines, #redemptiontattoocare #fkrions love to see a waffle iron show up when you tap on their hashtags. :)
