A huge (yooj) thank you to @CultExciter for his handiwork on this preliminary flyer for the event!! Emails to artists will (hopefully) be going out tonight. Luckily, we've got the man himself @Scott Sylvia on board, as well as Justin Weatherholtz from King's Ave and buddies @Perez and Nash Hogan from 3Kings. Seriously though, a friend of mine who actually IS German got the German eagle on her shoulder and was surprised how many idiots actually DID ask (most jokingly, I'm sure) something like, "What're you, a Nazi?" It was her second tattoo and first larger piece... Unfortunately she ended up getting it covered, which was a bummer because I liked the tattoo and fuck everyone. There's a good chance it'll happen but sometimes you gotta have a thick skin. I was surprised anyone made that connection but there are a lot of dummies out there.

I say go for it, it's a great design and if you want it, get it.

5) most important ! NEVER DRINK ALCOHOL BEFORE OR DURING A TATTOO !

During the outline on my stomach, I definitely crushed two beers back to back. I think that's only the second time I've had a drink during a tattoo but I gotta say it helped a ton and healed fine (it was just the outline).

I can vouch for @Fala 's herbal tincture! I took it on three different occasions and while I know it helped all three times, there was one session where I could definitely tell a big difference. Could still feel everything, but was more relaxed/separated. Only thing I've ever taken.

Oh man, I might try to make this happen.. Working weekends sucks for getting covers though.

Pictures would certainly help but I'd almost always go with your tattooer's advice, assuming they'e "above board." With the tribal/existing tattoos, I feel like it comes down to how you feel about the tattoos. Sometimes the best ones are the older, gnarly ones that you end up keeping.

Oh man, check out the dudes at Virtue! Making some great cider in Michigan. I've only had their Redstreak; super dry, not very bubbly, real old school cider. Fun video, too! Educational..

Tattooing is so easy! I get similar comments every once in a while about bar tending. "It's like you guys get to party every night! Must be awesome. You must be wasted every night!"
