    New!

Welcome to LST! If you want to learn about tattoos, you've come to the right place, there's a wealth of information throughout the forums and interviews right on this site. What were you planning for your first tattoo?
  8. That Suicidal Bonnet! Wish I could get out there, looks like a great show.
  9. I've always been into jambands with big bluegrass backgrounds a la String Cheese Incident and Railroad Earth. I'll come back with more examples at some point and check out what everyone else is into. Cheese has gone in many other directions through the years though so don't be surprised if you hear something that doesn't quite fit in this thread.
  10. I've been tattooed by more left handed people than not
  11. Do you have any tattoos?
  12. Welcome to LST! Who do you have tattoos from? Do you have any pictures?
  13. Marie Sena just moved to Saints and Sinners in Dallas, definitely worth checking her work out.
  14. My suggestion would be to find a tattooer who's style you're really into and ask them the same thing, as a client its okay not to be creative, there's a reason these people are paid to create art. There are tons of great artists in New York to choose from, I'm sure someone here can suggest someone who you'll be more than happy with.
  15. If you come through Colorado on your way down to Texas you should check out Dedication or Lifetime Tattoo in Denver, Marie and Caleb just left Lifetime to work in Dallas but there's still solid work coming out of that shop.
  16. AA is an awesome city, my folks lived there for the last few years. Welcome to the site, nice tattoos!

    Book thread

Went to the local bookstore yesterday, grabbed Chris Moore's Fool, Palahniuk's Damned, and Wear Your Dreams. One step closer to filling out my Moore collection, haven't read any Chuck since Pygmy, thought I'd give him another try, and I was just stoked to see the Ed book in there.
  18. I'm going to echo everyone else and say that I can't really see anything wrong with the tattoo, sure it stretches with your skin a bit, but so will everything else. Instead of going back and trying to fix each imperfection, I'd go and get a whole new tattoo and maybe after marveling at that for a bit you forget about your little issues with this one.
  19. I'm just getting my tattoo journey started and I'm going for a sort of patchwork traditional look, started with a big piece on my upper arm, shoulder almost to the elbow, got one on the inside of my arm, and then the inner forearm. I want to do something on my elbow next before the outside of my wrist but maybe I'll take advantage of that whole flat area instead.
  20. Getting the lady a gift certificate to Lifetime Tattoo in Denver for christmas, she'll probably make plans with Marie. I'm not sure when I'll have the extra scratch to get in for myself again but hopefully soon.
  21. So far everything is from different tattooers, though I plan to see Marie Sena for a couple more pieces, and I've got plans for other artists as well.
