  1. I was hoping we could hold a thorough review of her academic credentials before giving her mod power, but what the hell. Welcome aboard, @Pugilist!
  2. Post anything you'd like. We have no problem with you or your non-tattoo photos. As for that other poster, let's just say that sometimes, a hatchet gets the hammer.
  3. We have two: @dari and @tammy. But if you have another in mind, feel free to make a suggestion.
  4. Consider this a warning, @hatchettjack. LST is not the place to insult other members. If someone tells you that you're being insulting, take the hint.
  5. I don't smoke either, but @Iwar recently told me that tobacco prices are pretty crazy there (as compared to the US).
  6. Theo is a very awesome dude on top of being a great, great tattooer. He's fast, too, which is nice for areas like that one. I knew that was a Mindell girl before I even read your post.
  7. @Lance: the bonji on my wrist are the mantra for Amida Nyorai, since I was born in the year of the pig (or Hogg, if you will). I knew it was the mantra, but I didn't learn the meaning until recently, thanks to some research by Professor @taaarro (thanks again!). I looked on the link that @ironchef posted above and found this: Akasagarbha - mantras and seed syllables, including the Morning Star Mantra It's the bonji mantra for Kokuzo Bosatsu, aka Ākāśagarbha. That would look great around your wrist. You could also get juzu beads with your seed bonji in the middle, like this excellent tattoo by Ichi Hatano: (Aren't those on the woman we talked to at his booth at the convention?) You could get the Fudo Myo-o bonji in a bead on the other wrist just because Fudo is awesome.
  8. That is fucking awesome, @dooktruck! I hope you had a great time in SF.
  9. 13 hours in two days? Are you sure you're human, @ironchef?
  10. Brad's Japanese work looks pretty good. I bet he'd try to talk you out of a geometric dragon. I would if I were him. Dragon tattoos are very awesome--I have four--but that's not the best way to render them. That one has none of the power and fluidity of a traditional American dragon or a Japanese dragon. But that's just me. Good luck.
  11. Instagram says he's still there. Are you sure he's not there any more? FWIW, Brad looks like a very talented artist. What style are you looking for?
  12. Mr. Ben Grillo is 13 miles from Oceanside at American Tattoo in Bonsall.

    Welcome, @deftonekid. Got any tattoos?
  14. Yes! Stoked for you, @ironchef. I'm off to the post office today to drop something else in the mail for you.
  15. I love you, too @9Years.
  16. Figured I'd bump this ancient thread and post what I wore to work today. Those who know me thought it was funny.
  17. What a great success story! Thanks for sharing the in-progress photos and the final outcome. I really dig it. I'm sure you do, too.
  18. @Hands On, thanks so much for posting all these great shots. I was so overwhelmed that I didn't take any photos.
  19. That's incredible, @MoistTowelette. I was hoping you were gonna post in this thread. Thanks!
  20. @Kbee that apsara/tennyo-messenger-spirit-thingy is gorgeous! You have impeccable tastes.
  21. @SStu, that's one of my favorite Hooper pieces in a long while. Congrats! @cvportagee, I love that one! And @KBeee, is one of those on you? Please tell me you got that Oiwa.
  22. Sure is. I drove him to State of Grace to get it. And it looks even better in person. - - - Updated - - - Your back looks amazing, @Graeme. I loooove the background. Tell me: how did you enjoy those asscrack waves? Were you aware that you could clench that hard?
