2 this weekend- Went to Richmond Saturday and had a great time meeting folks and hanging out with good friends, and finally got to meet @CultExciter who is indeed a true gent with an amazing sleeve and now a good start on another!
First up is side-o-neck by Matt Bivetto, my go to guy and one of the finest and most humble people (and artist) you could meet.

So after getting back to Roanoke at about 2AM I headed up to Keepsake in Arlington the next day to see Tomas Garcia, another one of my favorite people and a visionary artist- I was going to do the other side of my neck but it was too swollen soooo Tomas crafted me an amazing portrait on my calf:

Any one got any advice on healing inner bicep tattoos though? inside of my bicep is black and blue now it hurts like a bitch :D

I got a amazing Butterfly girl head off Paul Dobleman too but didn't get a pic at the time and its a bit too scabby to take one now, had loads of people come up ask me about it on the day!

i once showed my mother a new tattoo i had gotten, i was about 23 years old, she took a look at it, started crying and told me i was ugly. this article resonates deeply with me. the woman who wrote the article is a complete fucking moron.

I like the 'dislike' idea. I know on youtube if I see a video that has way more dislikes than likes I know it's gonna suck and don't bother with it. Maybe it would be help people who don't know a good tattoo because then they can say oh well 50 people have disliked this and only one has liked, I guess I shouldn't go to someone who does work like this.

From time to time I will have a little twitch on more sensitive areas (ex. armpit), but for the most part not really. I have never moaned etc but I did grimace pretty bad my last session. 2.5-3 hours of almost solid black fill in my innner bicep. It wasnt bad until he cleaned it over and over again, my pain tolerance just gave up. It's funny how much a paper towel and soap can hurt!

I mention in the back piece thread the outline was put on 20 or so years ago by a different tattooer than the one who finished it. That was about six hours. Four or five years ago the outline was totally redone - probably about seven hours there. A week later saw the first layer of green, probably about six hours. I had two or three four-five hour sessions over the next few years, then two 5-6 hour sessions in the last few weeks to do all the water and lightning and shit and just generally finish it. So, uhhh... That's, um... Let's see... Seven plus six... Carry the four... Eleventy-two minus nine... Uhhh... Four billion hours. Not bad.

Yes @Abigail your right, the roses are beautiful, but I think you hit the nail on the head - the chicken tattoo is very beautiful.
I think there is something in that for all of us ;)
