  1. post a link to the artist so we can see what style he/she shines at
  2. It is INSANE how much this topic has come up in the last year or less. 2-5 years ago it was a really rare topic but now we're getting at least 2 new posts/week from people who are new to tattoos and whose 1st post is about how much getting a tattoo has adversely affected their well being. WTF is going on!!??
  3. He hasn't been here for a while, but @Graeme lives up there and knows the local scene well. Do a thread history on his posts and you'll find some good info on Montreal tattoo artists.

    Having anxiety

Chill, if you can. Dig a little bit in the forum here. There are literally dozens of similar threads.
  5. You've got lots of options. Figure out what style you want to look at forever and then we can help located capable prospects who shine in that style. If you want really bright floral this girl looks good: https://www.instagram.com/zema1/ Any black/grey realism specialist should be able to reproduce ancient roman/greek statues and such https://www.instagram.com/caponitattoo/ and https://www.instagram.com/uptowntattoosmtl/ are just a couple of examples . . .
  6. It was genius coming up with that musical deconstruction idea. I've enjoyed so many of those. I wonder if it was Fallon, Questlove or someone else . . .
  7. My feet were the one area where I found it was MUCH easier to take if I didn't relax. The sensitivity was greatly diminished once we found a position where I could put my foot flat on the chair and then lean my weight onto it.
  8. Those are both light enough to cover pretty easily, especially the cat. The real question is what/who you want to do the job - and will their style/outcome prompt the question of lightening them even more with a couple of sessions of laser. All of that would have to be answered by the tattooist in question. Maybe we could provide you some options, but where do you live?
  9. Welcome. And yes - pictures, please.

    Tiny tattoo

Yep. No one's ever going to look at it as close as you are here . . .
  12. That corona is too close to the palm to ever hold ink for a long period and/or have it wear like normal skin.
  13. Pretty normal for a 5 day old tattoo. That and hand skin both heals and wears ink differently than most skin.
  14. Lots of us have unrelated and different style tattoos on the same limb. They'll look less disjointed once you get more and fill in the larger blanks and then use filler tattoos on the real small or thin spots. Just keep getting more!

    Ditch Healing

    As opposed to what?
  16. Do you have any previous scarring and/or tattoos to gauge if you've personally got historically similar reactions to skin trauma?
  17. That's all normal except for the "year ago" part. Usually the shininess goes away after a month or two.
  18. Stephano at Frith Street in London does old school american traditional
  19. In a few months they shouldn't be quite as vibrant.
  20. Right. And hands are tough to draw/execute - so make sure in advance that your artist has some previous examples to show off.
  21. Alcohol. Not the type you apply - the type you ingest.
  22. welcome - and it shouldn't make any difference at all.
  23. The ditch area is naturally tough to get healed without minor problems. Too much moisture is not going to solve the problem, in fact it could cause more. I let mine dry and crack. The eventual need for touch-ups are common.
