SStu reacted to Hogrider in Problem with my tattoo?
Time to find a new artist. I would NOT give them another shot. it needs to be fixed. I'd wait a couple of months for it to fully heal first.

SStu got a reaction from oboogie in Problem with my tattoo?
Looks overly faded to me. How long has that tattooist been a tattooist? Do you know other people who have had work from him/her?

SStu reacted to Dan in Do you like my tattoo also are tattoo blues normal?
I agree , that white ink never holds.

I like the one on your knee, but you probably shouldn't have gotten the word "sad" tattooed on your ass.

I keep my new tattoos clean and dry heal. You really are wasting your money on those products. Don't fall for their horseshit.

From back here it looks like those 2 lines were worked over pretty good. As long as it's not not red, hot and swollen it shouldn't be infected. My personal opinion would also be to let it dry heal. All those specialty products aren't necessary.

yep. adding anything to a fresh wound besides antibacterial soap isn't a good idea.
I hope it comes out ok. Please keep us posted.

SStu reacted to Simong in what style of tattoo is this?
That’s true, I’m sure most would say they can do it but whether they could do it to the quality of the originals is debatable. If they are really good as you said they won’t be copying other peoples designs.

SStu got a reaction from Simong in what style of tattoo is this?
Yes, but the tricky part is finding one who is TRULY capable of reproducing someone else's work as opposed to some hungry tattooist who SAYS he/she is capable.
Many/most of the truly capable won't bother to schedule an appointment to reproduce someone else's work because they are plenty booked up doing their own designs.

This happens with really top artists. It’s worth the wait.

SStu reacted to Simong in Latest tattoo lowdown.....
Thanks @SStu, I appreciate that mate. I think it’s the usual day after moment where I think should I have gone for that and second guessing myself! I’m sure once it heals up I will be happy with it. 🙂

SStu reacted to Simong in Latest tattoo lowdown.....
Hi all. I just had these doves added on to my existing tattoo. I wasn’t sure what to have to fill in the space so I said shading and doves. I liked the negative space doves but thought these being black would stand out a bit more. Not sure how I feel about them at the moment, I know they will lighten up a bit as it was only done yesterday but I feel like the dark and light contrast is a bit too much. What do you think? I feel like it’s two separate images rather than one now. Or do the light and dark doves work together, really not sure! Lol.

SStu reacted to constantcreature in Full Back Piece Experience Thread
I'm so happy to see others posting here again! I haven't posted an update in a while, but here's my Virginia Elwood back piece at around 26 hours in.
We've been doing pretty short sessions (2ish hours, about once a month). We've done a few more hours in the last month since this picture was taken, but I've been healing pretty slowly in the cold weather and haven't gotten another good healed photo yet. My skin is kind of fussy about the dark red and dark green in particular. It settles in eventually but takes its sweet time.
Hopefully next time we'll have a chance to shade some more of the little creatures too, which I'm really looking forward to.

SStu reacted to Hogrider in Best way to unveil?
Reminds me of the old blues tune, "Nobody loves me but my mama, and I think she might be jiving me too."

SStu reacted to Hogrider in Discolouration skin around tattoo
No infection or allergy that I see. Wait 8 weeks from the date of the tattoo before worrying, unless it’s hot, oozing, or extremely painful.
