I wanted to share the tattoo I got today from Bryan Randolph at Shangri La Tattoo. I think he did an amazing job. Great artists and shop there!

that's not me, I think about a tattoo before I get for about an hour, many of my tattoos were spur of the moment , sometimes on several tattoos I didn't even know what I was getting until I got in the chair, also some of mine were flash off the wall.

Sorry you're hurting - BUT SOMEONE ACTUALLY POSTED A HAPPY PICTURE OF A NEW TATTOO!!!

I got my left knee done yesterday, and it is HUGELY swollen.  Absolutely brutal. I couldn’t sleep last night because it hurt so much. I’ll be glad when it starts healing. Even my elbows didn’t hurt as much as the knee.

Thanks yes I like this tattoo very much along with the others I got from my artist.
However, this is not neo traditional ... but traditional. Neo traditional tend to have more detail along with liberal use of color.

Started out with sleeves myself .. and only afraid of showing my mommy 😆

Just wear what you want to wear. My parents don't like my tattoos, either, but I don't hide them intentionally. If they see them, they see them. They know they are part of me, and they love me.

Just dropping in a pic of my almost finished Matt Collins full back for the thread. Home stretch now, it’s 90% done just got a few touch ups to go, maybe 29 hours work so far I think? Stoked!

It’s a tough one, I think you would be better showing a bit at a time but I don’t know if that’s possible. I remember not wanting to show my mum my first tattoo either, its a strange one but I think we are all the same! Lol. :)

It’s like a bandaid, just rip it off.

So, at one time we all had to unveil our work done to family, etc. I have told my ma that I was getting a tattoo and showed her it ... entire inner forearm. And she reacted pretty positively.  Strange as she is old (I'm 52 lol) and very conservative. Of course, since then I have gotten quite a bit more done.
My plan is to wear long sleeve shirts and roll up to elbows (all work so far on arms) and let her get used to the idea. We are set to all go to Hawaii in June and can't unveil all at once ... she might have a stroke lol.
Any strategy advice...? Haha and yes I care, although I'm 52 she still my ma you know?

I think you mwill be fine, I am 62 and still getting tattoos.

You get used to it.  🙂
