Does the tattoo have to be one you got this month? Or can it be just any tattoo you haven't used in a contest?
-
haha, dude i wasn't sure if people were as crazy as i am. i usually think about tattoos i want and specific places i want them when i showering...
and the suds are glistening off my body.
Dude, what the hell else are you supposed to do in the shower, if not fantasize about future tattoos?

Jealous.

I’m getting tattooed in two and a half weeks by dan santoro. I’m getting a bracelet tattoo around my wrist and then I’m picking something off the wall for my forearm of the same arm. Can’t wait ala bart scott.
You'll be pretty much be done with your arm then other than filler right? If so, that must be really exciting.

Valerie Vargas
This is executed so well... the snakes, the facial expression, the teeth, everything about it is spot on.

Here's my Dietzel lady head from Nick Colella, pretty sure I haven't posted this in here yet. Sorry, don't know how to resize.

In Richmond there is:

And Tattoo Paradise in DC.

This thread, and LST in general, is starting to make me REAL tired of not getting tattooed. It doesn't help that I have this big spot on the outside of my bicep that is just sitting there blank waiting to get tattooed, and once that is filled, most of my upper arm will be pretty full and a lot more cohesive looking.

Some hardass forearm tattoos being posted.
-
I was just thinking I should give a heads up to some of my friends and stuff back in NC that Mario is doing the RVA convention.
-
Here it is. My first two tattoos. Shipwheel is still in healing process. Quite stoked on how they turned out and looking forward to finishing the chest and venturing from then on out
BTW, this thread is full of so much amazing work and had a good time lurking through. Props to everyone
Link isn't working for me.

ive been tattooing for a good while and i used to tell people who had bad tattoos that they had bad tattoos. i realized its not cool. everyone that loves their own tattoos think they have the best tattoos ever. so unless im amongst other tattooers i never speak about who has bad tattoos or what tattoos are bad.
and truth be told some clients that know too much about the whos who and whats what in tattooing annoy the shit outta me as much as the clients that ask for hoodie ghosts ( grim reaper)
and that leads me to another topic. all of us at the shop have been comprising a list of stupid shit clients ask for:
rosemarie beads, gangsta clap, happy face sad face, curvis, scripture, broke back girls, skeleton heads, falcon birds, 3D tattoos, angel babies and realistic dragons(not too many pics of them around anymore)
hahaha skeleton heads is perfect. From now on when people ask if my tattoo is a skull, I'm going to correct them and say it's a skeleton head.

Huh, I had no idea Myke Chambers split time in Asheville. Looks like he has some time open near the end of September.

A guy who has tattooed a bunch of my friends, and who actually does really good work, is kind of notorious for causing this to happen when he tattoos, I know he has a rep of being really heavy handed, but I'm not sure if that's what causes it.
-
Yeah they rock. I've also seen some cool variations - light saber, arrows, snake, quill and even a hockey stick!
I've seen all of these too...

But yeah, dagger through the neck is usually really killer.

Big ole' battle royale!
Easy choice, that's awesome. Can't wait to see it.

Starting my back in October. Max Kuhn will be doing it and i'm so fucking excited!
Awesome man, what are you getting?

Portraits...take a look here. I don't know whether Den ever travels to Oz, but I know he moves around Europe regularly, so there's always the chance! If nothing else, you can see what a master of the portrait can do.

Link isn't working for me, it just takes me to facebook home page. What's the name of the tattooer?

Really? Nobody has mentioned Kaleidascope Tattoo yet? Kaleidoscope Tattoo Art Studio - Best Studio Tattoo in Sydney
Stevie Edge is the only tattooer at the shop who I really know of, but looking through the portfolios, it seems like a really nice shop.

Oh and @petepunter I would avoid going with something like the tattoo you posted above, as it has no outline and is already nearly the same color as that persons skin, if your going to go with color I highly suggest getting something with a black outline to hold all the colors in and make them look nice. From what I've read, and from what I'm sure a lot of people here will tell you, no outline tattoos tend not to age well.

i've never heard the term squid pants. where does that derive from/what the hell does it mean?
Yeah it was Shawn Porter of OccultVibrations Fame. It was in an old thread, I think it was "terms that drive you crazy" and someone brought up "leg sleeves" ... I can't remember the details. It's just a stupid inside joke of LST.
-
Chris, that rules, but I can't tell what part of the body that is.

i guess I'm lucky... I'm a web designer, tattoos are widely accepted in my industry. One of the biggest and most influential web agencies in the business, R/GA, even made a mini-documentary about people who work there who have tattoos.
I work at a small agency of 17 people in the south... 6 have tattoos and 2 are planning to get them. When I came to work the day after getting my tattoo, everyone ran up and crowded around to look at it and say nice things about it. One of our front-end developers with has a BAD ASS traditional-style heaven & hell leg sleeve (not sure of the proper term) and one of our designers has an appointment coming up with David Hale.
I've noticed web designers generally get really awesome trad tattoos, and/or really hipster-y type tattoos (owls with top hats, finger mustaches, etc).
The term you're looking for is "squid pants"

I can't imagine there are that many people to get tattooed by other than him in his neck of the woods. I know a year ago he did a guest spot at CTC and had some availability. Oh well maybe I will just buy his flash book he posted yesterday.
His entire shop is actually pretty rad, Frank William just started working there I think and Jeremy Armstrong and Zach Dole are both really solid tattooers. It actually seems like a really cool shop, but I've yet to visit.

I have wanted to get tattooed by him, but never have time to venture out of Chicago when I am there. If I ever do I will ask him.
I'd like to get tattooed by him and actually have a friend who's from there and has invited me and my girlfriend to come stay with her there sometime, but I think he is really booked out, though I could be wrong about that.
But @CultExciter I agree, there could have been some laser sessions, otherwise I just don't see how it's possible. But then again, what do I know.

Well, in that case, I'll submit my dagger I got from Mario Desa last November.
