@cltattooing finally got a pic up in the Latest Tattoo Lowdown thread!
-
Wow @RScott that sleeve is amazing!!!
And @Synesthesia that rabbit is looking so nice!
Here's the fox I got yesterday from Ron Wells, tough to get a good photo. Was supposed to fly in, get the tattoo, and fly back out last night but due to the snow storm I'm now stuck in NYC until tomorrow. So getting this little guy has turned into an unexpected vacation / adventure / chance to hang out with old friends.

@polliwog just got done my appt with Ron. It wasn't nearly as bad as I expected, but my appointment was only like 3 hrs so keep that in mind. Only part that sucked was a few lines close to the elbow ditch, other than that, not really different from my outer arm.

Makes me happy to see this thread bumped since I've got an appointment with him tomorrow! Too excited to get any work done so I'm just browsing LST all day haha.

Thought this belonged in this thread, slideshow of 20 sheets of 100+ year old flash accompanies the article:
A treasure trove of antique tattoo flash is found in Corpus Christi - The Texican
This weekend, Peveto Art Gallery will display 20 sheets of historic tattoo flash art that were recently found in an abandoned house in Corpus Christi. According to gallery owner Scott Peveto, the flash looks to be over 100 years old. The items were rescued from a Dumpster by a man who cleans out houses that are tagged to be torn down. -
Welcome! That baphomet from your Instagram is awesome.

Hello and welcome!

Getting my inner bicep done by him. Greeeat.
Me too, on Tuesday. Excited for the tattoo but not how it's gonna feel. haha.

Well, I'm turned off by men who find tattoos on women to be a turn off. So, looks like it all works out from where I'm standing.

I belong to a jewelry forum, and it's not uncommon for members to draw things to scale and cut them out, tape them wherever the jewelry will be worn to get an idea how things will look, get some perspective. (I've done it myself) Has anyone gotten that obsessive w/tattoo placement? I ask b/c I mentioned tattoos above my knees to my husband and he thinks it would look funny unless they were large pieces. So now I want to print out some heads and tape them to my legs. Does this mark me as insane?
If you're crazy, I am too. A few times I've sketched tattoo ideas on myself with eyeliner pencils and eye shadow. Before I booked my half sleeve I sketched one on myself when I was drunk and bored, made me decide to do it cause I liked how it looked. I'm not a tattoo artist so what I sketch will be different from the final result but it's a fun way to "test drive" the idea and channel my excitement.

Hey
in Initiation
Hello and welcome!

I forgot I posted Louie in this thread, haha. Since then I got a dog, she'll be a year old next week. Louie's friends with her now but it took awhile.

Hello

Welcome to LST! Would you post photos of your tattoos? We'd love to see :) Where are you planning to live abroad?
-
Welcome. Respect for your dedication in going to the artist you really want no matter the money or patience required.

@HettyKet Ah sucks that you aren't close enough! I'll dedicate mine to you. That one you posted is killer. Love how he gives each lady their own personality.
@Synesthesia Get all three. Problem solved.
-
@HettyKet Brad Stevens does my favorite ladies-in-flowers tattoos. Hope to get one some day. Maybe not exactly what you're looking for but similar?
-
A tiger, maybe fighting a snake, maybe not, from Dave Cummings at PSC Tattoo. We're scheduled to start at the end of July, maybe earlier if he has cancellations.
Just googled Dave Cummings here at work, let's just say the first result was not exactly what I was looking for.
Blown away when I found his actual site though. This eagle is crazy awesome! You must be so excited.

Hey, welcome. That split bug / bee(?) tattoo is really cool.

I love the idea of getting tattooed to commemorate your wedding day. Graeme gave a great list. I'm not sure how close it is to Coney Island but Three Kings in Brooklyn is a great shop.

Welcome! In addition to Liberty you could also check out Ink & Dagger.

I have also had some really serious piercing complications that have resulted in horribly gruesome reactions to metals assumed "safe", specifically surgical steel and pure gold. It took me 6 months to even possibly heal a simple ear piercing, and I've only gotten 2 to actually work out of 6+ attempts.
BUT, I had absolutely no issue with getting tattooed at all. So, don't lose hope of getting tattooed! The idea if a small trial tattoo is a good one. I just went all in haha. But luckily it turned out fine.

Welcome to LST!

@graybones just supplement your iron and use Tylenol instead of ibuprofen, it's an NSAID that doesn't have anticoagulant properties
Ah okay thanks. I usually up my iron supplements for a few days before but I'm never sure if that's enough to counteract the ibuprofen. Good to know Tylenol will work the same.
Hey guys, my name is Jeremy!
