This! Ten times over... I am considering flying out to stay for a week or so and hit the convention. I have a whole lot of tattoos to pay for though...so who knows if it will happen. I have wanted some work from Jondix or Hooper on my cranium for a while now. My intent was to see if I could accomplish that at the convention.

I actually decided recently that I'm really not interested in chicks that don't have tattoos. It is such a huge part of my life that I don't think a "plainskin" would understand. On a basic sharing of interest level, my partner would need to be tattooed...preferably heavily, and by awesome people.... :)

In my experience, the important part of a coverup is deciding what you want to cover it with. Decide on imagery and don't even think about the existing tattoo. A competent tattooer will let you know if he/she feels your design choice will work as a coverup. Amazing things can be done to existing tattoos; yours is pretty faded, so my guess is you can cover it with nearly anything you would like to. Keep in mind that almost all flowers make great coverup images because they are intended to have a lot of values and the dark values is where the tattooer would disguise some of the coverup.

First of all, welcome! Second, does it always rain in London? Third, if you bring up your concerns about placement and adding on with more tattoos in the future to your tattooer, they should be more than capable of pointing you in the right direction. Part of a competent tattooers job is to use the space on your body well. They should be able to help you place things in preperation of additional work. Welcome to LST.
