  1. Those are some heavy hitters working on your back!
  2. I recently got tattooed by Chris Conn. I got this from Terry a while ago. He's a really cool guy.
  3. I have a tattoo that I feel the exact same way about, especially because it is on my forearm. The more and more I get that arm tattooed the less I care about the one tattoo I don't like or how it fits in with the rest. You will end up in good shape especially living and getting tattooed in the bay. Just give it some time and keep getting work done!
  4. Just booked a trip out to NYC Feb 28th-March 4th. I have an appointment booked with Bailey Hunter Robinson. Really stoked about this. I also plan on stopping by Smith Street to hopefully get a tattoo or two.
  5. I'd imagine you would have to go to a shot tattoo shop for a blacklight tattoo to even be considered by the tattooer, and at that point you are probably going to be getting a bad tattoo from a terrible tattooer as well. It's a double edge sword. I feel kind of awful for even contributing to this thread. I need to get out of here now. Going to the "Latest tattoo lowdown..." to feel better about life.
  6. There is an irony in people thinking you are a "broke low life" because of your tattoos, due to that fact that people with nice tattoos are usually spending hundreds, sometimes thousands of dollars to get tattooed, but this isn't understood by the general public. In terms of the majority of my friends and people I know with tattoos they live a life where they work hard and have the means to pay bills, provide for a family, put food on the table, then are able to afford the luxury of getting tattooed. Obviously there are exceptions to this view point, but it is especially true in the case of the people on this site that are paying top dollar to travel and get work done by world class tattooers. This is something that a good amount of people who are judging you wouldn't be able to afford, but people are ignorant and refuse to take the time to educate themselves.
  7. I am always contemplating getting a snake because they make for awesome tattoo designs, are great for filling weird spaces, and just look rad in general when tattooed, but I keep opting out of the idea because snakes scare the hell out of me in real life. I hate them. It feels a little hypocritical for me to get one.
  8. Sepultura "Chaos A.D." has been on heavy rotation in my car lately.
  9. @shinobi I look forward to hearing about how everything goes. I live in LA and have been looking for somewhere to do some removal. I don't really trust yelp reviews when it comes to this stuff and I haven't found anything that appeals to me yet. I was really leaning towards making trips out to Texas to go to Fade Fast based on @YOMONEY 's experience and their reputation in the tattoo community, but if this goes well for you maybe it is something to consider for myself.
  10. I have a list of tattoo ideas that I keep in the notes on my phone and computer. I continue to add to this list as I think of new things or subject matter. Then I go through the list of people I want to get tattooed by and write down names of tattooers I think would be best to do the work next to each idea. Ideas on my list can be as vague as "Jungle Cat" (Wilson, Stell, Koeplinger). Once I figure out what area I want to get tattooed I go through my list and see what I think would look best in that given space and choose something. Just my own way of keeping my thoughts organized and not forgetting ideas or who is doing a good job tattooing the things that I might want to get.

    Walking Dead

This last season of Walking Dead was awesome. I have read and continue to read the comic books so I have certain expectations for the show. I was very happy with how things have been going. Although it's a little different than the comics the show still has a strong story line. I love it. Did anyone see the new episode last night? I plan on watching it sometime today.
  12. @Iwar Thank you. Puts a smile on my face every time I look at it. I know you know the feeling. Haha. I immediately noticed your stencil hanging on Chris' wall while I was getting tattooed.
  13. @semele I have a few ideas. Nothing set in stone though. How about yourself?
  14. I have an appointment with Grez in July. I'm hoping to get tattooed by Koeplinger or Xam while they are in California for Ink N Iron in June. I just don't think I can wait that long to get tattooed again! I need to make some plans to get something sooner.
  15. Those Jason Donahue panthers are awesome. I realize more and more how much I want to get myself a Stell cat.
  16. @Johannes I have watched the interviews and love them. @TrixieFaux Thank you! I love the tattoo. I hear great things about Memoir. I almost got tattooed there when Seth Wood was in town and working out of the shop.
  17. My name is Brandon Germain. I live in Los Angeles. Stoked to finally get active on this forum and stop just lurking in the shadows. Looking forward to talking to everyone!
  18. As you should! @Graeme that tattoo is incredible! I plan on getting a raven from Hooper at some point. There have been some really cool pieces getting posted lately. LST is going hard in 2013. Yesterday, I got tattooed by Chris Conn. I tried to post some photos last night but for some reason my post needed to be approved by a moderator. I guess once that gets approved you guys will get to see it.
  19. I don't back this at all. The only one who has it right is Rollins who wants nothing to do with either reunion.
  20. So I made my first post the other day as @BrandonGermain and posted a picture of my elbow done by Steve Byrne. For whatever reason after posting I decided I didn't want to use my full name on a message board, so I made this account and will be using this one from here on out. I apologize to the moderators if I broke any rules, and I'm sorry to whoever just read that shitty and irrelevant bit of information. With that being said...Today I got tattooed by Chris Conn. Chris was so cool and really does go above and beyond for his clients. Everything about getting tattooed today was rad. Not to mention his studio is less than five minutes from my house. Couldn't have been a better situation. I will post better pics once it is healed.
