  1. I've used it for several tattoos/ sessions at this point. there are a few things that work best for me for the issues above. For the peeling edges, I would cut the peeling flap off, then place a fresh piece overlapping it. Fluid will build up from the tattoo/sweat/etc. This will eventually dry, and it hasn't hurt my tattoos. If the fluid becomes excessive though, you can either poke a hole or lift an edge for drainage, then cover the hole/edge with another piece. If at all possible I would leave the derm over the tattoo for 4 days, and not replace it. Taking it off halfway through may expose it to germs, increasing healing time. Some people may heal faster or slower, which will effect the coverage time. Tatuderm recommends 4 days, which is perfect for me, but I've seem some recommending longer.

Hannah Sandstrom at Dark Age Tattoo Instagram Of course there is always slavetotheneedle Instagram A ton of good artists out of there. 6. Each person's journey towards getting a tattoo is different. Some people may get a piece of flash on a whim, some are serious collectors, others go for a whole body suit from one artist, etc etc. Like what others have said, we can't tell you what to tattoo on yourself. You will learn that through self discovery and exposing yourself to different types of art (most importantly, tattoo art). Education of the different styles (American/Japanese traditional, new school, neo traditional, etc) is important if you want to be more than just a tattoo spectator. It's not essential; you don't have to know how your car works or what the parts are called to take it to a Mechanic. You will just run more of a risk of getting ripped off or getting something you didn't want. What we CAN do, is point you in the direction of some awesome shops/artists.
  7. I would suggest reading the first post on this thread :)
  8. I might suggest trying a different healing method. I have had mixed results with dry healing, and lotions. I'm allergic to aquafor, and typically take a long time to heal. The only healing method that's been effective for me has been using saniderm\tatuderm\tegaderm (all the same thing). It keep bacteria out, let's the tattoo breathe, and after taking it off I'm left only a few flakes. You should of course ask your artist about what they think is best for you.
  9. I certainly would be honored if any of those artists wanted to work together (Rob and James recently did a collaboration). I am curious at how the dynamic would work. That being said, I will satiate myself by visiting shops, meeting awesome folks, and attempting to widen my horizons.
  10. Yeah, Steve is fricking amazing. Getmoretattoos :) I'm at a cross roads now where I feel the need to seriously consider who I want to do a back piece before I move forward with anything else. There is a short list of people I'm considering. James Tex, Damien Robertson, Rob Noseworthy, and Curtis Burgess. There are so many amazing artists out there, and I love pretty much every style. It's just been a challenge to figure What fits me the best. There are worse problems to have.
  11. Planning on visiting Rob » Black & Blue Tattoo in Victoria, BC in the next couple of months. I am a huge fan of Rob Noseworthy's work in particular. Instagram I also recently visited Woodwork Tattoo Gallery in poulsbo, wa. They were super nice, a great shop , and a good variety of artists. Instagram

  17. Right now, volbeat. Until we have a patient, then it goes to classical. We did deviate from that when we picked up a guy high on robotussin years ago. We turned on techno, turned out the lights, and he had a mini rave twirling the glow sticks he was wearing.
