  1. Haha. Same. I'm going through old threads and trying to read so much that I always saw the name. I kinda never realized your weren't actively posting. Welcome back.
  2. If anyone is looking to hang out, feel free to drop me a message. @huggernaut and I will definitely be there Sunday. Not sure if we're going to pop in on Saturday.
  3. Welcome, and good luck getting your suit finished.
  4. The only spot on the arms that were pretty rough were my elbows and up near my armpit. Otherwise, not too bad. Good luck and welcome.
  5. Is it Sunday yet? I can't wait to get tattooed by Ron Henry Wells at the Philly convention. Another friend is getting done by him Friday, and then I have a friend getting tattooed by Eva Jean on Sunday. Oh, and my wife is getting her left arm (three quarter sleeve) outlined by Martin Lacasse on Friday. This is going to be a great weekend.
  6. I know. So far I could seriously consider getting tattooed by almost everyone on that list. But I'm in that same boat. I get tattooed by Grez about three weeks before that and then I'm starting my sleeve in January, so I'll be trying to save up. I may still spring for a little walk up with someone though.
  7. Saw this guy head this morning on Instagram, but artist credit wasn't given. People asked in the comments, but no reply. Anyone know? It's pretty awesome. http://instagram.com/p/jePGGSNeML - can't get it to embed properly without a few extra steps. Click the link. Haha.
  8. @Rob I, looking awesome. And I love that Marty dragon on there.
  9. @Mark Bee @TrixieFaux I guess we'll just have to wait until we retire! My principal is pretty cool about my tattoos, but I also keep them covered during the school day. I coach track and XC though, and I'm always in shorts and a t-shirt. He comments on most of them positively, but I don't have anything crazy. If I got some sort of topless pinup on my forearm, that might present a problem. Haha.
  10. @Mike Shishmanian, I just realized a friend tagged me in an IG post of yours about the Philly convention. I think she's getting tattooed by someone else there but is planning on talking to you about setting something up for March. Good stuff! - - - Updated - - - @Graeme, while I certainly didn't hate it as much as you do, there is a reason I don't have it anymore. Haha.
  11. I'm getting tattooed by him in two weeks at the Philly convention, and I can't wait.
  12. That rules. I'm a 7th grade teacher and I'm pretty sure I'd be fired on the spot if I had those on my hands. But I'd be stoked. Haha.
  13. Finished up The Circle by Dave Eggers about a week ago. I love a lot of his work, but this one kind of annoyed me. It simultaneously sucked me in, but I didn't really like it. I've been still sorta making my way through Salinger's Nine Stories when I have time, like I said a month or so ago. Last night I read "For Esme - With Love and Squalor" when I couldn't fall asleep and was reminded why I think it might be the best short story every written. A woman at work just gave me a copy of Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, saying that she just couldn't get into it and wanted to know my thoughts. I'll have to get started on that after I finish grading a million essays in the next two weeks.
  14. The JCM800. Such a classic. I had a 900 and always wished it was an 8.
  15. Yup, there it is. Thanks @TrixieFaux. That's a great one! Haha.
  16. Thanks, @MadeIndelible. I can't say enough good things about getting tattooed by Scott. He absolutely knocked it out of the park. I love it and stare at it regularly.
  17. I've been semi-planning an octopus idea for years, but I'm not 100% sure how I wanna approach it, so I haven't yet. Other things keep happening first. I've got some ideas though. Not meaning to sound like a dick, but could someone post some cool jellyfish tattoos? I feel like any I've seen haven't really grabbed me.
  18. @Dan I saw that earlier when I poked around. Pretty cool. I knew that most of the bandage was the waterproof/breathable stuff, but I assumed the edges were kinda a sticky part that couldn't stick to the fresh tattoo. I kinda misunderstood. Thanks for your help guys. I may try it on my next smaller tattoo just to test it out. @Bigboy67
  19. @Bigboy67 Ohh. I was picturing it more like a traditional bandage with a stickier edge around the sides. So that doesn't matter? Interesting.
  20. @Bigboy67, I guess I should've been more clear with what I don't understand. So, let's say you have the owl that's 7x12. If you're using 4x4 sheets, even if you're overlapping them, how do you keep the sticky edges of the Tegaderm from getting on the fresh tattoo? Does that make sense? I feel like I'm not really articulating my question well. Haha.
