I just got my fourth tattoo, my largest / most visible one. I got it about 3 weeks ago. I really like the artist, and I liked it as a stencil. Now that it's on me forever I'm feeling less sure... What do you all think? Is it okay, do you think it's a bad tattoo?

I waited a long time to get it (years knowing this artist, 3 months after getting the appointment), and the inspiration behind it is meaningful to me. I'm torn up that I don't like it more

    😞

I think it looks fine, it's a nice tattoo IMO,

you have a common case of "tattoo remorse" and it will go away.

I get it. I remember my first few tattoos being hyper focused on things, and even later ones if they would heal in new ways I wasn't used to. I'm glad that I didn't know about this site for a lot of them or there may have been some panicked posts! Patience is something that is more important with tattoos than I realized initially. I don't think most people do.

on all the green, blue and violet parts on the healed tattoo 🙂 (face (legs as well, but are out of focus), neck, middle triangle)

hold on, so I was talking about the 4 brown stripe things, is NOT what you are referring to ?  those are the only brown spots I see.

  4. hi, and yes, you should have done more and better research on "american traditional" artists to go to.

this tattoo is not done well IMO,

so live with it , maybe have a better artist touch it up or rework it after it's healed,

and please don't consider laser removal,it's not as good as most poeple think, it's very painful, takes many visits, and does not really "remove" a tattoo,

and then chalk it up to a lesson learned and research your next tattoo.

start finding good artists that do a style you like on instagram and follow them for a while. go to conventions, look on FB,talk to other tattooed poeple.

My artist used to say wait until it's healed then get a touch up if you have to. It shouldn't be difficult to correct anything you're not happy with.

At a glance, it looks perfect. As @Hogrider said, every tattoo has it's flaws.

LOL well yes ! the tattoo HAS to be healed before you can get touchups !

and you can't really touch up lettering without F***ing it up.

    Hey Guys !

I m new here ! I wanted to get my first tattoo on my arm, Maori style, but I have a reception that I don't like later on, because I'm tall and thin. Is it my prejudice?
I was told that Maori style doesn't look good on thin people, what do you think? I like other tattoo styles too, I am open to any advice or opinion.

    Thanks

who ever told you that is wrong, get the style of tattoo you want.

    thanks for the reply

So if the tattoo artist does decide to use a pen on the stencil if he thinks its necessary should i let him? or would it be better to try to have him reprint it to avoid having to use a pen?

yes, adjusting things on the stenciled skin is totally  normal, assuming you have done proper research on this tattooer, you need to trust them, of course you will look at the stencil before they start tattooing and approve it.

Hello everyone,so for the past few weeks i have been thinking about getting my first tattoo on and i have some questions. I wanted to get a small tattoo on my finger, little below my knuckles or in between my thumb and index finger on a hand. The tattoo would be a kanji sign for "three"(ill attach it below) and it would represent a person who saved me from suicide some time back (long story to explain in what way). I personally think that this is a good enough reason to get one and i also find it very beautiful and i feel like it will also represent my life because i wouldnt be here without that person(im doing amazing now in case anyone cares). Tho i have been watching a lot of videos on youtube and people there said that the chances are high that when someone as young as me(17) does a tattoo that we will regret it afterwards. I dont wanna have something that i dont want to be there on my body but i also dont feel like i would ever regret it,but i can change in future so i dont know. I have my parents permission and enough money. So i wanted to ask all of you,do you think that i would ever regret a tattoo that has such a big meaning and is also very small and simple tattoo? Thanks to you all in advance.

My heart is broken today. Rocky, our daughter's 15 year old American cross-breed, got to the point he could not eat or drink. We all took him to the vet for that final trip. Comforting her and aching myself.

I am so sorry, that is such a hard thing to go through.

I am 29 and my wife and I have 7 kids. Declan, Amery, Sebastian, Eileena, Alice, Kieran, and Rowan. My wife’s name is Amy.

I’m looking for a tattoo design of a desolate carnival Ferris wheel. Almost exactly like the Chernobyl Ferris wheel. On each car I want the name of one of my kids and on the eighth car the name of my wife.

Any artists out there that can help me draw this out?

hi, do some research to find a tattooer that does the style you want this tattoo in and have them draw it up.

I was considering getting a new tattoo in color which includes red. I read that red ink has the highest chance of allergic reaction. Does a red ink allergy ruin the tattoo? or is it just a temporary thing that disappears leaving the tattoo looking normal after?

Does anyone have any experience with red tattoo ink allergic reactions?

older red inks used to to do that on some people, but modern good quality reds these days  hardly do it, I have not had a reaction in 35 years, and I have gotten lots of red since then with no reaction, and if you do get a red ink reaction that's pretty much all it is, maybe scab a little, not an infection.

I wouldn't worry about it, if the tattooer you have chosen has a clean shop and clean practice, go get the tattoo .

    Hi ,

New to the forum. Was hoping for any advice from people of faith that have any experience or knowledge on the topic.

I have alot of tattoos, one including a hanya mask. My question is I have found my faith since having a hannya tattooed, but do really love the art itself and want to get a a hannya back peice tattoo.

Has any fellow Christians have hannya tattoos or know if this is ok?

    Again, just love the artwork.

     Thank you

so get the  F***ing tattoo you want, I'm not religious, maybe questions like this is why I'm not.
