Got my whole back and butt cheeks lined last weekend, and I was expecting the absolute worse. I will say that certain spots were awful (base of spine, love handles), but the stomach was definitely worse for me. The very first line that hit my stomach made my entire body flush and start sweating in a way that was disgusting and embarrassing. Haha.

Got my back outlined by Scott Sylvia last weekend. East meets west style mashup of a reaper and koi. As usual, he FLEW through it and crushed. Lined the whole back and butt cheeks in 3.5 hours.
I go back for two more sessions in June, then we'll figure out the next steps after that.
I'm not really posting full photos anywhere until it's done, but will circle back here if I decide to post any detail or close ups. I have sent to people on IG, so if we're friends and you're curious, hit me up.

    Guidelines
Welcome to Last Sparrow Tattoo (LST) - we are happy that you have decided to join our community!

Here are some basic rules and guidelines that will help to ensure that your time spent on our free public forum is a useful and positive experience:
The goal of LST is to create a positive and respectful place where both tattooers and collectors alike can access a wealth of information about Tattooing, share their own experiences and perspectives, and cultivate valuable relationships within the tattoo community.
Please do not post anything that you might want taken down later. We do not delete accounts or remove posts because doing so disrupts the flow of our forum discussions. Your discussion is your contribution to the site, please don't ask us to delete your posts. We ask that you please use common sense when it comes to posting. If you find that you’re second-guessing yourself on a new post, chances are that you should hold off on posting it until you've had more time to consider the type of reaction it might draw first. Remember that we are focusing on positivity and respect here. Do not go posting a bunch of meaningless posts just to hit your 10 post requirement! If you want to ask a question right away - just post it in your intro thread. Do introduce yourself in the initiation thread so that we can properly welcome you! Do use the search feature to make sure your question is not already answered in another thread, before posting. We want to avoid duplicate threads as much as possible. Do watch these videos to help you gain insight on the history and culture of good, respectable tattooing. Do not start threads asking about specific tattooing equipment or techniques, LST is not here to teach anyone how to tattoo. Ask your own tattooer, the next time you are getting tattooed. Maybe they'll answer you, maybe they won't. Do not start threads regarding closely guarded trade secrets - this will keep LST a much more welcoming place for everyone, tattooers and enthusiasts alike. Do not start threads asking questions about "breaking into the business" of tattooing. Spamming: Accounts which are obviously created to spam the boards will be banned instantly and the offending posts will be deleted. Accounts that were not created to spam the board but do spam will be banned at the administration and moderator's discretion. Do not post the same post in multiple places around LST as this can also be considered SPAM. If we determine that your reason for joining LST is to attract traffic for your low-quality or spammy site - you could be banned for that too. Disruption: Posting for the purpose of creating disruption on these boards will not be tolerated (e.g., "baiting" or "trolling"). This includes deliberately violating board guidelines and courtesies or otherwise posting in a manner that is deemed by LST moderators to be disruptive or harassing. Please note that creating a new member name for the purpose of disruption places your primary LST account in jeopardy as well. Signatures: You are welcome to link to your own quality/original content TATTOO RELATED website/blog in your signature, but please add a link to www.lastsparrowtattoo.com on your site in a clearly visible location first. We will look at your site and moderate your posts if we can't find a link to LST. *Note: We do not permit links to sites that sell tattoo products in your signature, or that go against the LST mission statement in general. Our moderators will be the judge, but 'cheap tattoo kits' are not a good thing. Also, we're not here to send traffic to your generic ad riddled landing page so don't bother. You may be banned if you violate any of these Rules or Guidelines.

Here's a decent photo of it. Nearly healed now. 🙂
This was a gift from my tattoo artist ... he's moving three hours away. Boooooo. But I'm happy for him. It's a great new studio, and he'll be closer to his family.

it looks fine, let it heal for 4 to 6 weeks , when you are breathing, moving, trying to get a pic, it's going to look off, crooked, whatever, it's on a human  body ! relax, like I said, it looks great. it looks  straight to me.

It's so weird how stuff like that happens. Like you can see in the pics that red was totally fine on the upper part of my leg o_O And the artist commented on how weird it was because the red on my arms is also perfect and healed like a gem! So it seems unlikely it's some kind of full-body red ink allergy ... the human body is so weird, I almost seems like different areas can be "sensitive" or "allergic" or whatever you call it while the rest is fine

this happened to me, I had a reaction  to red on my right arm, but many many tattoos later and many with red I have not ever had a bad reaction to red again.

Dan reacted to LizBee in Getting another tattoo after bad experience - was this infection, allergic reaction, or what?
I have worked for a plastic surgeon for almost 30 years and much of this issue could relate to the body site itself, possibly combined with the actual technique used to create the particular design (shading and color, with more vigorous application). Reds are notorious, though there is no agreement on which reds, and what people are sensitive to what pigments, etc. The lower anterior (aka pretibial) leg is the worst spot for healing due to the poor blood flow and the fact that the lower leg is under pressure as we walk and support our weight.
So, if you're contemplating another tattoo I'd wager if it is not located in this area the odds are good that you won't have a similar experience. Considering your good result overall it would not stop me either.
