  1. @hogg I've got a buddy that would have done those sleeves for half price though...
  2. Woo! I just found out that after I drop off my current load this morning, I'm picking up a load that delivers in Missoula, Montana. This just happens to route me through my hometown, and my mom is making dinner for some good family friends. I should conveniently arrive around 6 p.m. This rocks cuz my hometown is kind of in the middle of nowhere, so I never go near there unless I specifically ask to. Won't have a whole lot of time there, but at least I'll get to see my dog and have dinner with my parents!
  3. Conveniently, my life is a constant road trip.
  4. I'll just swing by and pick some up :) if we time it right, I could probably deliver some to @SeeSea
  5. Big ol' curved scimitar, all jeweled and jazzy from shoulder to shoulder could be cool
  6. You could start a reverse of the traditon, eagles on backs and panthers on fronts!
  7. Psh. You just said that to get more likes.
  8. Yes. Look around, go into shops and look at portfolios, look around online and find someone who's style you love. Then do exactly as you said. Get them to draw you up a custom tatty zap, and enjoy it for the rest of your life.
  9. it's hard to feel sympathetic about this when you're working on such a cool back piece.
  10. I used to have my ears stretched moderately, too much of a pain in the ass. I also had one nipple pierced a long time ago, that came out very suddenly and painfully. Tattoos are so much easier.
  11. Out of curiosity, is this your idea or hers? You keep using words like "I" instead of "she"...
  12. It will be interesting. Know that is not going to be any fun, but don't stress about it. The more relaxed you are, the easier it will be.
  13. Dang. Cant figure out how to imbed this image... sorry. Re edit: maybe that worked?
  14. I've been told there can be a connection, just because after the trauma of getting a tattoo and while healing, your immune system might not be working at its best. As it was explained to me, this could make you more susceptible to sickness or it could affect you worse because your immune system has too much on its plate. No idea if this is actually true or not, just what I've been told. I did catch a bug that was going around, right after a tattoo session one time. Everyone else got a decent cold, I got a fever of 101. Could just be a coincidence though
  15. Right on the point of the elbow was interesting, but overall not that bad of a spot. Swellbow is spot on though. Mine looked like a grapefruit for a few days.
  16. Nothing new to add, except to say I wish he still posted. Always enjoyed his stories and insight.
  17. Sounds the exact same as the one im looking at as my back up/future plan.
  18. @Cork good luck! I'm trying to figure out how to get my license at the moment (living on the road can be a PITA for some things) but if I can't make my first plan work, I'll be taking one of those courses as well. Honestly I would like to take one either way, but probably not for a short while if plans work out
  19. @Kinglambert Thanks for sharing that, very interesting read. And the ability to forget is wonderful. That's why I've been jumping around my body, trying new spots. Ive forgotten how bad the stomach area sucked by now, so if I work on the other side I wont dread it as much!
  20. ^ this. Tattoos have taught me a lot about being comfortable in my own skin, and comfortable with being myself in relation to the outside world. It's not so much an act of rebellion (which I think has kind of been taken away, to a degree) but an act of intentionally altering your appearance, in a way of your choosing. Making that choice is the liberating part to me. Also, like everyone else said, the number of super cool people I've already met through tattoos in some way is awesome. People from all walks of life, whom I wouldn't had made that initial connection with if it weren't for tattoos.
  21. I like them all, but Live Fat Die Young is pretty damn awesome.
  22. That looks really good, but I have a question. Why is he called Hoichi the Earless when that dude most definitely has both ears?
  23. Damn, I've been the moron that's asked that question... In my defense, it worked and we found the book (Shantaram) but I did feel a bit dumb.
