  1. Touch-up day over with, now I just need to survive the next three weeks so I can colour this girl in. If I ever talk about getting something on the back of my other arm, fly to my house and slap me upside the head. I'll pay for your flight back home, and it'll totally be worth it because holy fuck, if I ever have to lay like that again. I thought my neck was gonna be stuck like that forever.

  2. Colour in the outline soon. So stoked! It's almost healed, so after a quick touch-up around the elbow, I'm gonna make an appointment for that.

After that I've got plans for a decently sized coffin tattoo. Gonna have a skeleton punching out from inside giving a thumbs up, with "Homeward Bound" wrapped around it. At least, that's the idea as of right now. I dig the general theme, I'm just not sure how that'll work on my arm / if it'll even look good on paper.

  3. This seems like a good place to post my friend's stickers:

So sayeth Lil' Wayne fans everywhere. ;)

That's an awful lot of stickers, though, man. Does he sell them or just kinda throw them at people? I don't know how else he could get rid of that many.

EDIT: Figured since I already bumped this back to the top, I might as well stick in what I'm listening to.

  4. I like it just fine @Dog Bite. Thinking about adding color or no? Best not to get too hung up on little imperfections (not that I see any glaring problems). Just get more tattoos!

    Thanks!

Yeah, I wasn't sure if I wanted colour so I decided to just get the outline and live with that for a while, but so far I'm already of the mind that it could use some. I figure I'll still give it a month or two past once it's healed, think it over some more. Better safe than sorry, and that.

  5. Not commenting on the tattoo itself - but the photo for me was mainly a photo of a sink and a mirror and only a tiny amount of tattoo...

Yeah, sorry about that. I don't know why it's so bloody huge. You gotta scroll to the right to actually see it. Unless you tried that already?

  6. I think from now on, whenever I get a tattoo, I'm just gonna come read this thread again. Not that I expect all of mine from here out to be "better than yours", just to remind myself that even if some are bad, I'm hardly alone on that front. ;)

EDIT: Yikes, that sounds kinda bad. Hopefully nobody took that the wrong way. I seem to be having a hard time putting thoughts together coherently tonight. All I was trying to say, is that it's nice to know I'm not the only one with less than perfect tattoos.

  7. Snip.

I gather from the silence of disapproval that there's something glaringly wrong with this (or maybe the whole thing) that I'm missing, and I hope nobody takes this as me attention whoring, but I'd really like to know what that is. To my untrained eye, it looks fine. Of course, y'know, that's why I came here. I love tattoos and I wanna know as much as I possibly can.

Plus, I can deal with having an objectively bad tattoo because I, personally, love the shit out of it. It's the not knowing that's really getting to me. Apologies if I should have tossed up a picture in the good / bad tattoo thread and asked there, I just figured that one was more for asking general questions and not specifics about our own tattoos.

  8. Literally just got home from getting my elbow / forearm done. Typing with one hand is kind of a bitch.

Anybody have any methods to help stop yourself from twitching? She had to make a couple lines thicker to cover up where I had a little spasm. Surprisingly, the elbow was one of the least painful parts. Wrists are a tender area, apparently. :p

Caroline Tattersall from Good Point, if anyone is in the area. She did my other one for me, as well. Sorry for the shitty picture, cell phones, eh?

  9. I've always wanted one, but I don't think I'll ever actually do it. I've thought about getting a little C/S behind my ear, but that's as high as I'm going.

That's pretty gnarly, man, getting a tattoo on your face. Some people can really pull it off (Corbin would look weird without his, it's like they were always there) but in general I think it's better left undone.

  10. I'm not an expert, but that seems like it'd have to be a pretty sizable tattoo, man. If you pack them too close together you'll just end up with a blob in a couple years. Anyway, this seems like it'd be right up your alley.

Hopefully this picture doesn't turn out to be gigantic and make you scroll a thousand times, but it's all binary, which is exactly what you're looking for.

That's, uh, an eyeball, by the way. It doesn't really do it justice when you blow it up enough to see the 0's and 1's. Again, I'm really not sure how well that would stand up as a tattoo.

  11. Welcome! Where you getting tattooed? Just a warning, they may not do your neck/hands until you're fairly covered. (Who am I kidding, everyone tattoos everything now..)

Elbow for this one. Yeah, my artist already told me that they wouldn't do the hands / neck (hopefully that includes the face as well) until you have "enough". I'm in no rush, it's not like I've got a shortage of places to tattoo already. ;)

  12. Witty introduction that makes you think this is one radical dude.

I'm currently working on finishing an American Traditional sleeve. I'm going in tomorrow to see about getting a spider web on my elbow, which would be my second one, so hopefully I might be done the whole arm by the time I'm 73. I've always loved tattoos, but these ones in particular. I really dig the style, they've got a kind of whimsical quality to them. After my arm I've got plans to do a couple on my legs, neck, and hands. I'm not really looking forward to the knuckles, but I suppose sacrifices must be made, eh?

Well, I'm about out of things to say. If anybody has any questions for some strange reason feel free to ask. In lieu of a proper introduction, here's a good CD.
