  1. Your body usually is not perfect mirror-image. Keep that in mind. Just the way you stand, etc. will cause differences. Give this one (at least) a year. Then think about it again.
  2. Comments about having them or not really don't bother me. Comments about quality or design would, but that usually only happens on another forum where they have a couple members that delight in nit-picking and panning any tattoo with the slightest flaw.
  3. Monday, I took a 600+ mile round trip and picked up my next "project". A 1979 GoldWing that I plan to restore to showroom stock. It will probably take the next two winters, which is Ok because it will keep me occupied. I'll post up some photos once I can pull it outside.
  4. Looks nice, Dan. So, is this in preparation for some awesome trips?
  5. Nice bikes. Whenever any of you decide to ride "the Tail of the Dragon", give me a shout. I live about 45 minutes from it, and about 15 minutes from "the Devil's Triangle" (which I hope to ride later this week when things dry out).
  6. Just got home yesterday from a 13 day 4200 mile motorcycle trip with the wife. Took US70 from Tennessee to its Western terminus in Arizona, then back roads to Williams, train to the Grand Canyon, returned via US60 with a side trip to the Painted Desert/Petrified Forest. Also a stop to stand on a corner when a hot girl in a truck pulled up.
  7. Well now, isn't that minty fresh?! Love it!
  8. Nice looking lid! Is it modular? If so, Arai has done a great job of smoothing the joint! Nice CB, too. I'm still trying to find a way to further quiet the Emgo shorties on my GL1000. It eats fiberglass wrap in 20 miles. May try SS pads next.
  9. It only takes me a couple days to forget the pain. Your new art looks great!
  10. bongsau - that attitude will have you looking back at this as a great time (well, except for the pug - sorry for the loss of your freind).
  11. Resurecting old thread to add my finished show bike and winter project rat bike.
  12. Combination awesome and shitty things this weekend. Shitty that we had the funeral for my 1st cousin that has had a huge part in my life. Awesome that so many cousins from all over gathered to say goodbye. Shitty that it's about the only time that I see them - Jones reunions always seem to have one of us horizontal in a box. Awesome that it was in our home town and the church that I grew up in - hadn't seen many of these folks in years, either. Also awesome that my winter motorcycle project - a '79 CB750F rat bike - is finally on the road. Took it out for a short ride yesterday and it ran, handled, braked, etc. great! Now to find a buyer for it so that I can get next winter's project bike.
  13. I've not noticed that tattoos are that popular there. My hosts were amazed by mine, wanted to know if they would rub off, what the ment, etc. Very accepting, though. Now, they are rural Indians, though fairly well educated. I would think Northern India would have more tattoo shops. Tamil Nadu and Andre Pradesh are beautiful areas. I used to visit friends up near the border between the two. Could see Andre from their roof. Tried to stay out of Madras as much as possible. That's probably where you'd find them. Plenty of good artists there, just don't know how many have adopted the medium.
  14. Actually, I don't think you'll get one on this forum. ........Now the spots that are left on both of my arms is the inner bicep. I'm scared [emoji846]......... And well you should be. That's the only area that gave me real pain. But, you'll do it and make it through. And it will be worth it.
  15. Yep, you'll feel that. But SO worth it. Looking great!
  16. Fantastic! Judy and I got together in '80 at our 10th HS reunion. A year later we married, and it is still a great ride! We NEVER miss a HS reunion (our class was only 144 students).
  17. Makes a HUGE difference when you find an artist that cares!
  18. Shazbot! Took the Hunley out for a Sunday ride. Started blowing headlight fuses, so headed back home after only 20 miles. Coming down our steep, concrete, tree shaded drive, all traction decided to leave and I stuck her in the woods near the bottom. Pulled her out with the winch on the wife's mule and soft straps. Looks like I get to touch up the barbeque paint on the headers and re-polish the right valve cover and belt cover. And, find the short in the headlight circuit. Ok, only a little shitty. But, Knoxville Tattoo Convention is this coming weekend, and I show the Hunley at WingDing the next week!
  19. Six months of heaven, then they called me to come back on a project 3 days a week. Good money, but looking forward to it ending next month. Finished my bike and rode it to work yesterday!
