Hey guys! Looking for some insight.

Whats up everyone!

From Tampa FL,

I'm looking to get some work soon and am not afraid to travel for the right artist. I've been looking for someone in the states with a similar style as Duhovka from Czech Republic, and Misabocek seeing that my funds won't take me out of country lol

Their IG's:

https://www.instagram.com/duhovka/

https://www.instagram.com/misabocek/

Images are examples of what I'm interested in. Sort of like an abstract, minimal, full body connected style.. not really sure what to call it. I'm new to the tattoo descriptions and terms.

I'm also open to any links to artists that are out there similar to this style not residing in America for educational purposes :P

Thank you for any help towards this :)

That is indeed a very European styling. As a follower of blackwork in general I can't say I remember anyone in the States who specializes in what I'd call "abstract minimalist". If I had this question and lived in Tampa, I'd go and visit  Phil Holt, Chelsea Rhea and Nick Stegall and see if they had any insight. Redletter also has Joey Ortega doing a guest spot there soon. He spends months each year in Europe and may have input on if anyone in the States is active in this.

    • I just wanna say this,I have many many tattoos and many years of getting tattooed and by many artists,I started when I was about 25 and I am 59 now, I am still getting tattoos, and ,well,I still get tattoo remorse, regret, etc, etc, what ever the F*** you want to call it,to this day !   it goes away, maybe takes a month, maybe takes a week, once the pain of the $600 or $1500 I just spent goes away,I am thinking of my next tattoo, and all is good in my world again.
    • Do you mind me asking, how long did it take you to get past the serious regret phase? @Carmelita
    • You are right, its NOT healthy. Don't hate me for saying this but why does it have to have some deep meaning? From what I see, it looks cool. I would invite you to consider exploring other areas of your world that may not be aligned...is this misdirected frustration at someone/something else? I would offer that a bunch of us have tattoos that break "rules". But hey, if you don't like it, you don't like it. It's not a bad tattoo though!
