  1. Just out of curiosity...what's the general consensus on getting ink from different guys in one shop? Is it better to stick with one guy per shop?

I can l probably best explain it like this.

I am currently getting tattooed by two guys in the same shop at the same time. Yup that's right. Regino on Saturday, Matt on Sunday. They seem to have zero problem with it and usually swing by whenever the other is tattooing me to look at what they are up to.

    Go for it!

  2. @Joe Shit

Completely understandable but if it makes you feel any better, I actually don't drink but I'm okay with being in a social setting at a bar. Would be cool if you can still join us. I'll buy you a soda or cranberry juice.

If we get a good group to show up this time, next time around I'm in favor of a restaurant to grab lunch/dinner. I know we got some non-drinkers

  3. to me that's the cool part of actually leaving the house, going to a shop and seeing what's out there. so many people are timid or worried about getting some "mindblowing" piece from someone who's got a waiting list and a ton of internet recommendations that they never take a chance. it's one of the coolest things about tattooing that so many people are missing out on. you'd be surprised at how many amazing tattooers have zero internet presence and are close by but it seems like many folks would rather do whats easier and safe.

This for sure. I just talked to a friend of mine that got 2 shit tattoos because he was afraid to go to a "big shop" aka the place I do. It took a long phone conversation to convince him the tattooers are people too and to just come with me when I get tattooed. Hell I even offered to walk him to three other shops I like in the area. Maybe it's just me living through him because I am locked into two huge tattoos. Most of the fun is all pre and post tattoo. Actually getting tattooed sucks

  4. Not a bad idea. I got into the online portion the other night, and it was fairly stable. I imagine it will take a bit of time for Rockstar to hammer out all the issues that come up. Hopefully sooner rather than later. I think @slayer9019 said he was going to create a Crew for LST - The Last Sparrows. I looked for it the other night, but couldn't find it. Of course, this means I'll have to go get a new mic/headset rig.

I'm locked out of my Rockstar Social thing at them moment but the crew name was called "The Last Sparrows"

  5. The only time it really bothers me when people talk shit about tattoos/people's tattoos is the situations when I can't say anything back. This really only happens around coworkers. My favorite being "that poor shmuck will never have a job as good as ours with all that shit drawn on him". I thought to myself, if only they knew...

The "never get a job" comments seemed to be the ones that bother me the most, whether directed at me or not. My career is practically my life and to say such things is such a stupid comment that is very ill-informed. This being backed up by the fact that one of the most successful people I know regularly gets tattooed at the same shop as me. I think this misconception will continue as use "closet tattooed folk" never really show any tattoos around coworkers/bosses so the myth will continue.

  6. Sorry I missed the where's the get-together happening bit.

We don't have a definite location yet but we got some contenders (at least in my head). I'm gunna say somewhere in the Village or LES, as I know those areas kinda well. I was am gunna say we meet at a bar or bar/restaurant as they are easy locations to meet up at. Suggestions welcome!

    My ideas so far:

    Spitzer's (LES)

    Top Hops (LES)

    Peculiar Pub (Greenwich)

    Radegast (Brooklyn so probably not)

  7. Thanks for the leads! I am looking them all up as we speak! I go to NYC a lot also so have been looking there as well. Does what I have in mind seem like something that wouldn't be too awkward in American Traditional style? Most tattoos that resemble what I am thinking of as far as the lay out goes, seem to be all realistic or have a vintage like the old postcards which is just too girly for me lol.

If you bring NYC into the fold as an option, you will have a ton of artists to choose from.
