Hello!
Finally decided to register and make a first post after lurking here for at least a couple years now. :)
I'm a lawyer by day and tattoo lover by night. Also, cats. :D
I got my first tattoo on my 18th birthday, and never looked back.
Here are my two most recent tattoos:
The cat matryoshka was done at last year's Minneapolis Tattoo Expo by Shawn Patton. The photo was taken immediately after completion.
The next two are of my space cats. These are cartoons of my four fur-children. Of course, prior to finishing the piece, our family expanded to add another cat and a dog. Good thing there's space on my forearm. That was done by Dan Dittmer. One photo is after my second to last sitting, and the other is after the last sitting. Finished this about 6 months ago. No formal healed pics yet.
I have some other random stuff, but probably nothing else worth posting pictures of.
I'll be at the Minneapolis Tattoo Expo this coming weekend possibly looking for something to fill some blank space on my upper outer arm. :D
Given my occupation in particular, getting any potentially visible tattoo is a fairly large commitment. I'm more or less restricted to always wearing long sleeves at the office, although on quiet days, I can get away with partially-sheer sleeves, or 3/4 length sleeves. I know for me, deciding to get a half-sleeve marked the point in time where I decided I was going to be a tattooed person rather than a person with tattoos. I'm curious if others - particularly other tattooed women - had this experience - that of knowing that they were committing to being a "tattooed person."

I have no upcoming tattoos. I'm just posting here because I'm starting to get that feeling like I should have some upcoming tattoos. There's a bunch of stuff I want. Thinking about some type of black & gray underboob thing from Nate Kostechko, a second monmon cat from Horitomo, and possibly a fox on my leg from Jim Sylvia. None of these are booked, just in my head. Gotta start somewhere...

This is definitely not as shitty as some of the shitty things I have seen on here so really, not complaining...but I got all my wisdom teeth out on Tuesday and I haven't been able to eat anything solid since. I had to sit there and watch @DJDeepFried and our daughter eat chocolate babka on Christmas morning yesterday while I had another apple sauce... :(

Omg @The Tig, he must be stopped! Show him this video! I have see nose-picking EVERY day at work, but it's because I work with kids who don't know better! I'll get the double-pickers, two fingers way up there and I try to gently explain that this can spread germs and isn't polite to do in front of people. But no, this guy... :eek:

I own my own business (a restaurant) and I allow my employees to show their tattoos and piercings. Firstly, I think it adds to the vibe of the place, and secondly, I've got them myself.
My whole working life I've worked in countless shitty operations who force their employees to become personality-less drones in the name of "professionalism". I always swore that customers actually don't give a shit about their server's body art as long as their food and service are great- and guess what? I'm right. No one has ever said a thing about them.

I like the idea of imagery...but I also don't mind script. With script I'd say keep it simple. You could get an image that resonates with you with something like the word "trust" under it...as in, trust yourself, rather than the OCD thoughts... I almost said No Doubt, but that can't be used for obvious reasons haha. Since OCD is a struggle, two fighting animals could pertain... a knife through something (slaying OCD)... or maybe just a peaceful image of how you would feel having overcome it, like a flower. Any image that strikes a chord with you. You would know what it meant. If you get writing (or an image for that matter), like @marley mission mentioned, don't design it yourself, go to an artist who is amazing at what you want.

took a trip down to richmond for the weekend. my buddy joe nickley was guest spotting at all for one so i had him tattoo this jesus head cobra and skulls over an old shitty skull on my shin.

my most recent tattoo has to do with a degenerative retina disease that was recently diagnosed to me

not everyone's cup of tea on this forum probably, but i secured a session with Russ Abbott to do one of his signature geometric mandalas on my kneecap at the INKED Convention in Pasadena. Also have a small banger with Alan Padilla on my inner foot. i tried to text Gogue about doing my armpit at the convention and a second pass on my torso but he hasn't responded... :(
