I have always strived for balance in my tattoos. In fact, it's bothering me right now that I have both sides of my right knee open. Then again, as I start to run low on real estate, I notice every single blank spot.

Update: I filled in the inside of my right knee a month ago, and on Sunday, I'm having Ben Grillo fill in the outside.

Nervio's a rad guy, @Guero. I got tattooed by him 9 years ago, and I used to see him all the time when he worked at Diamond Club. That's a really cool J-Man.

Is that Ian Flower's work, @MrToby? It's stellar!

I'm planning on going, but something just came up for Saturday. Looks like I might be spending the day there on Sunday instead.

I preferred everything about tebori except for how long it takes. I loved the quietness and sometimes there was no pain--I heard the JIK JIK JIK but the only thing I felt was the hand stretching the skin. I nearly fell asleep once.

I got tattooed by Horimasa Tosui and thought the same thing. The Horitoshi style of tebori is really easy to deal with, but it IS slow.

@Cork, I'm telling you: Craigslist. I have six loadable DB handles and tons (disclaimer: not actually tons) of standard plates for them. I hooked up a 120-lb. DB for Kroc rows and have a pair of 50s lying around at all times. Maybe you can score a full set like I did, including 25-lb. standard plates.

The alternative--not getting a backpiece--is just silly.

Here's a new one: one of my best friends is almost done with his backpiece, and he just texted me to say that, the day after getting his ass tattooed for 5 hours, his penis is sore and tingling. Our combined best guess: he was subconsciously trying to escape the pain, so he unwittingly smashed his junk into the table. That poor, poor table.

Wait a minute...is she getting a BG thigh piece? I think she may have come by for her consult while Paul was doing my panther.

Ha! Yes, that's her. Paul did both of my thighs, too. I can't say enough good things about him.
