  1. Thanks. My artist just did the outline of a Medusa on someone last week. Good luck with yours! Also, just got my chest panel colored and my elbow done yesterday. Not too bad today, but it was uncomfortable to say the least. I've been working on the sleeve and chest panel since February, probably 8 sessions. One session to go. I'll be so glad to be done. Next up is a ladyhead and wolf on my calf.
  2. Hannya Mask, Chest Panel as part of a sleeve. Did the outline about two months ago, color yesterday. Done by Jesse Tseronis at Sakura Tattoo in Winchester, VA. We've been working on the sleeve since February. One more session!
  3. The first season none of the canvases knew what they were getting in to. After seeing B-Tat and All Fiction putting their crap on people, they should know better. I have a hard time feeling too much sympathy for people that will put any shit on their bodies just because it's free.
  4. I'm 54 and just got my first tattoo - a sleeve and chest panel. We'll show those snot-nosed punks!!
  5. +1 I can't help myself. It's like watching a two-headed bug. As much as you want to step on it, you have to look. I couldn't believe Nunez watching people fuck up the flags and just shake his head and say he couldn't do anything. These people have to wear this shit for life. I don't care about the rules or the contest; you're supposed to be a professional tattooer - you can't just stand there and let someone do a fucked-up tattoo if you could prevent it. - - - Updated - - - I agree. Like that marine that waited 27 years to finish his tattoo. I'm sitting there thinking, there's a tattoo shop on every corner from New York to LA and it took you 27 years to find someone to do the Marine's Logo??? Are you fucking stupid????
  6. I feel your pain, and I'm going to again. I'm getting a Hanna Mask chest panel as part of my sleeve and during the outline there were a few spots that were really painful. I only had the outline done and am going back 11/5/12 for the color.
  7. I'm just joking. My wife comes from Rochester. I like DC. Most years I start riding in March and don't put the bike completely up until December. Of course in my advanced years that requires heated gloves.
  8. True, you want to be able to take advantage of the two days each year that it's warm enough to ride in Rochester. :-)
  9. Old Triumphs get a pass, new Triumphs ... sorry. Only kidding. I have a Harley Fatboy and a Yamaha Road Star. I love all motorcycles.
  10. About what I'd expect from a "biker" that rides a honda :-)
  11. I'm sure that the people who have to wear their shitty tattoos find much comfort in these excuses.
  12. Is this a joke? People can't really be putting this on themselves, can they?
  13. The guy I'm thinking of had a tattoo he wanted to add to, on the cheap. First he wanted to save money, then he had money, then he starts listing all of his expensive toys. Even though there are a lot of great shops not to far from him, he goes to someplace close and gets an "adequate" tattoo, but his amazing artist forgets to do the eagles eye. I just don't get people. You're putting something on your skin that you'll probably have your whole life and you're worried about having to take time to find a good shop and drive an hour or two. You have to look at it every day; take the time and spend the money.
  14. Would one of those be an eagle where there "artist" forgot to put in the eye?
  15. I've never done either but just remember, "if it sounds too good to be true, it is." Why would anyone go lazer if they could slop some goop on their tattoo and have it disappear? That just doesn't make sense. Also, I wouldn't consider money when it comes to this. If you need to wait longer to get it done, it will likely be worth the wait. Just like a tattoo, get it done right the first time.
  16. All that book learnin' like readin' rightin' and spellin' is a waste of time.
  17. My first and only tattoo so far is a sleeve and connected chest panel that I've been working on this year (6 appointments and counting). I'm going to get a wolf head on my leg when this is finished and I joked with my artist that it will feel funny to walk in and leave with a completed tattoo in one session.
  18. Most people do ... until the get to know me :-)
  19. This might be valuable to the general public in showing them what to look for in a shop. A lot of people have no clue what makes a clean shop, or how the process should work and are too lazy to do the research. This might provide an easy way to see what NOT to look for in a shop. I guess we'll see. Probably lots of manufactured drama and yelling, i.e. "Wiping the machine off on your dirty pants is NOT cleaning it!!!!"
