I had a pretty major touch up on my arm on Tuesday, and this is what I was left with when I took off the saniderm. it hurt like a fucker taking it off, too.

@polliwog thank you. Your skunk is so awesome and the tattoo you got from Dave Cummings is incredible.  I would urge everyone to get a lucky tattoo shirt. Now I just need to find some lucky tattoo pants. 

Another nice piece -- how many do you have total oboogie? Seems like you've added a half dozen since spring.

@mtlsam It needs to be butter from grass-fed cows.  I recommend Kerrygold but my friends have had great success with butter produced by cows spoken to exclusively in Finno-Ugric languages.

I haven't posted it yet as I am not sufficiently flexible to get a good picture. At this point I'll put it up next week once the flake situation has passed.
Btw is it normal that my new tattoo on my leg is a little dry looking? Should I use crisco or something on it? My tattooer said to leave it alone, but my buddy swears by shortening... ;)

Would you mind if I get this as a backpiece? I'll let the artist try to make some changes, but in the end I will refuse them all and take this master work exactly as it is!

I should add that my approach appears to be akin to a giant flash sheet. I have a mix of traditional, neo-traditional and Japanese. Once I had my "core" pieces, I'm filling in the spaces with what I love! It's like landscaping. :)

The good thing about flowers is they go with everything. I have 30+ flowers on me and theyre all associated with different images.
So yeah. Get a fuckin' panther.

I think there is a middle ground - i dont know if I come off snarky or sarcastic or what sometimes - i just try to be honest - sometimes honesty isnt what people want - there are def those threads where the OP is fishing for the validation of their idea - no matter how ridiculous - I would rather LST be but a ghost town then become a place where folks are high fiving over upside down blown out tattastrophes - just so they dont hurt each others feelings
i'm rambling - but anyway - i hope the good folks here keep coming back and talking tattoos and posting their tattoos - we've had some good new members too

Excising is an extreme and painful procedure. Most of us would just get it covered up or live with it. So no, you won't find any people cutting out tattoos here.
Wait for the laser! You'll be glad you did.

I'm beginning to sense a pattern here.

so you were thinking about the coverup for a long time - listen - keep the tattoo - and get to a good artist before contemplating your next move - if you tell us where you are located - there are usually folks that could throw out a few names for you - because a good tattooer wouldnt have done a lame coverup on you like that

Cut it right out! Slice it off! Make it bleed!
Seems like a lot of folks are coming here and posting "questions" after already having made up their mind. If you can't afford laser, wait until you can. If you can't wait cut it off. If a scar is nicer than the tattoo then go for it.
Maybe think on this one for a while as you seem to have made two decisions you are unhappy with so far, getting tattoo #1 and then getting a non coverup cover up.
