  1. i agree, i dont mind people liking what they like. my only issue with it being called country is when talking to people and getting to know them they'll ask if i like country and i now have to specify what type of country or else there is great confusion and i have them trying to convince me that toby keith is hardcore country music. haha

really to me, most of the stuff from the 70's on is pop country. for whatever reason i like most of what was pop country from the 40's and 50's and most of the 60's. i know jim reeves is for sure some smoothed out polished country but goddamn that guy can deliver. same with the later more polished faron young. killer

here he is doing a willie nelson tune

  2. not sure who the smoozers are or even how you know of these things but you have the opportunity to define your world/your reality. i'm out here in putting in the work and trying to do my best to give every customer the best possible work i can do as well as making their tattoo experience a good one. sure i'd be nice to get any sort of comments from peers or other tattooers but in the end, the people i'm putting tattoos on are the only ones that matter. whatever success i achieve its really for one purpose and that's to provide for my family and give what i can to those that need it whenever i can. whatever element in your life is invading with these negative vibes, remove them and seek out what brings positive energy and you won't give a shit who's sucking cock or who's famous and how they got there.

  3. I find that I dont like Hank III and that group at all. I find it to be too self indulgent and more of an attempt to see how outlaw they can be. I think Waylon and Merle and those guys were more genuine by far. Just my opinion. Plus, regardless of any of that their music was really, really good.

i think hank is the real deal, i don't think he is just talking about doing drugs and such just to sound cool. plus with the type of exposure and attention he gets, he never forgets to pay homage and respect to those who paved the way. i like that he has continued to try and push the extremes of country music. but then again i think that ALL pop country is bad. it bothers me that it's even called country

  4. Animals to me are like roses, I cant really have too many. I want a bulldog head tho.....soon.

same here, can't figure out where to put it. the only thing i currently have multiple tattoos of are skulls and jesters. only one eagle and technically that's the only animal i've got unless you count the giant eyeball octopus creature. and a tidwell variation on the flying eyeball that's more of an eyeskull with bat wings.

  5. @dcostello i was looking online and noticed that pressure point played back on the 9th with the old firm casuals and the brassknuckle boys. i know ive said it before but i gotta make it out that way at some point. good music, good tattoos, cool people...argh! oh, which biohazard dude was there?

  7. New stuff and live. Filth is great...that area is certainly strong. My favorites have to be children of god and white light but honestly I like them all even love the burning world. Godflesh are another favorite, have heard much headbutt, will look into that.

Yea, the tattoo is one I love even tho its not done that well. Also, swans are just one of those bands.

the burning world may be one my favorite things the swans did and they (m.gira) refused to reissue it on cd back when they did all those reissues in the 90's. ive got it on cassette and one of the few cassettes i kept.

  9. The thing about Mark Wahlberg getting lasered because he was 'concerned about the message he was giving his kids' is old news. I'd never really seen his tattoos before, but clearly that message he was avoiding giving his kids was "Dad makes horrible tattoo choices":

somethings can't be lasered away, i wonder if he goes to used cd stores to buy his old albums so he can burn them to keep his kids from hearing it.
