I absolutely love the atmosphere in the shop I go to - they are a fine and marvellous bunch of people and it really does make a difference. The experience is always filled with laughter, positivity and a sprint of adventure - It's fantastic to see how genuinely enthusiastic they all are about their art and they have created a place that is truly inspiring. I have a fair amount of work done now and I would not be interested in adding to it in a place that was not in some way magical and inspirational - but that's just me. 🙂 New music -see below for a new video of a folk band I play guitar in (that's allowed right?) I am from the UK and have no idea what an NBA is or why it is being played off.

ongoing leg weirdness by the magical El Tragico from Saturday.... next up two headed snake blastover to cover some eighties/nineties "tribal" and a bit more leg...

having a nice *short* tattoo session next Saturday... a marvellous eye thing above the tree person.... anything over 4 hours for me is too long - as I have discovered to my detriment..... it sort of goes... first 20 mins... ouch 20 mins to 2 hours ... oh that's nice I have endorphins. 2 - 3 hours... that's sightly less nice.... 3 - 4 hours... please can I go home now. I have picked a poor hobby for someone with a low pain threshold 🙂

Here's how it's all hanging together at this point - at least from one angle... leg has been started and booked in for a bit more in two weeks - it will all join up eventually 🙂

I agree with Jack If it's the execution rather than the sentiment that you now regret then that is a regret not worth carrying. "I wanna get the writing covered cos its awful" - no it really isn't. The universe has us as it's way to view itself. We were all made in the heart of stars, and entropy will put you back to the four solar winds before any regret is material.. The stars pass no judgement on a will to mark your time here - and your time here is marked well with the sentiment you chose. Be well, Live long and prosper. Do not regret your ink. etc...

Hello and welcome to the forum - others will probably be along to tell you to give it some time - and I would agree - this is a very new tattoo and you need to wait until it's fully healed to be able to have any perspective on it - give it a couple of months to fully settle in. Aftercare - I've had a couple of tattoos now and I have healed really well using Bepanthan (in small amounts) - but others will tell you (with some vigour) not to go anywhere near it. I have also healed with no ointments, herbs, spices, spells or oils at all and these have turned out equally well - so.... One piece of universal advice I think I can give is whatever you use don't use too much of it, and don't soak the tattoo (as in submerged for any length of time) in water. - What did your tattooist recommend for aftercare?

@bluebullets - Have you got pictures of your tattoos that you could post?

"I almost fell asleep while I was getting my back done" I feel I should contribute (sorry about that) - I didn't (fall asleep) - I didn't like it in an "are we done for the day" kind of way.... and yes that's for most of it (although it's only 50% obvs) (my back not yours to be clear) Also my lower ribs and rear thingy wotsit were ridiculous and I'm not doing that again- sorry no good with medical terms - the flesh over the liver thingy and that - Cheers! See video for what happens when someone tattoos you in an RV - or in this case a car. It's the acceleration, corners and braking that usually cause the issues. It may be possible on a long stretch of highway - but still not usually recommended. skip to 35 seconds in for the educational bit.

I would ask for the deposit back and find someone else, if you feel bad about it explain you have no more vacation days. It's not their fault re their current issues - but by the same token it is not yours either and they have already cancelled on you once. The tattoo gods may be trying to tell you something here :-). Anyhow My advice for what it's worth would be - get the deposit back and find someone else..... Cheers and have a marvellous day. R.

Interesting topic - I have no tattoos on my right side. I'm not necessarily superstitious about it - but I'm definitely a bit stitious for sure.

My "band" made a cheap video to go with a cheap song 🙂 ... it was fun at least.....

lol - yes it was awesome...... couple of pics attached - not had a summer like this in the UK for a while - am I am back home now - but... have an appointment tomorrow with my local friendly tattoo emporium 🙂

Bit raw at the moment - done yesterday along with a couple of praying hands and banners to fill in the rest of the back (can't take a pic of that bit 🙂 ). Nearly there - probably one more session for completion -
