I never wear sunscreen.  I keep my tattoos covered.  :-)
Treat a fully healed tattoo just like any other skin. The sun is a tattoos worst enemy - just like every other piece of skin.

Basically tattoos and especially balck and white ones do fade in the healing process. 
Do you have any pictures of the day you got them and now? 

I’m looking forward to see how your art turns out as well. You have some very creative ideas.

Ok...here’s a few crappy bathroom mirror pics. Lol

The Led Zep Swan song tat was from when I was about 25. He said he can incorporate it into this current tattoo. It will be interesting to see how he does it.
 
 

It's beautiful! But you know it anyway since you know your feelings are not based on reality.
To give you some comfort, my anxiety passed quite quickly. Now, two and a half years ago,  I fully love my tattoo and it makes me feel so much better in my body. It's a beautiful part of me now and I can't imagine I just had a bare arm once :).
I even got a second big tattoo right on my chest from a different artist. I didn't have the same anxiety right away but a couple of months after getting it I was going through a difficult period so it hit me. Now I just realize it's like that for me with all big changes: I might want it, I might like it, but it is still going outside my comfort zone, so anxiety is natural and it just takes time to accept these things as a part of your new comfort zone.
Hope it happens soon for you, my inked buddy! In the meantime, getting support from the community reeeaaaaaaaally helps :).

Just had a short session.
The majority of the line work is done.
We decided to fill in the inner bicep with an Oni mask at a later date. Pics to come in a couple of days....I’m a bloody mess right now. Lol

Session #3 tonight for my Japanese style dragon sleeve.

Edit: Should be the last of the line work plus the shading completed today.

Just got back from the doctor. Clearly infected and put me on triple antibiotics right away. They were like, "yea we're going to give you the standard antibiotics because you can't wait any longer until you have to go the ER"
They also said to clean it with hibiclens and put a thin layer of aquaphor. No tegiderm tho.

That's good. I know that I am stressing about two appointments in September. I have plans to attend the London Tattoo Convention. Of course, the Boeing Max 737's are still out of commission and that's how I am supposed to get to London!

Well, I don't see it as disrespectful...they need to cover their costs and make sure people are committed. That being said, I hope that your artist has an accommodating reschedule policy. Booking for 6-8 appointments in <x period> of time, requires a lot of planning and life does happen.

Yikes, that is a lot. I know with one artist that I worked with he required almost an entire day in a deposit.

I didn't have a problem with either of my legs, but being sore three days in after 7 hours on delicate skin doesn't sound like something I would worry about. This is my right leg; it was done in multiple sessions.

Yep. You gotta trust he's not going to get hit by a bus or something, too.
