Well, I was thinking of getting this next - not sure if it would look best across my chest or my back. Thoughts? It is a panther that everyone talks about.

@Rob I Thank you! I love it - just what I wanted. I don't think I've mentioned it before. The artist is a local person here in my area. Scotty Lammers - he specializes in American Traditional but did my other one as well.

@Devious6 your eagle looks great!  Who did it?  I apologize if that's been covered already and I just missed it.

The good thing about flowers is they go with everything. I have 30+ flowers on me and theyre all associated with different images.
So yeah. Get a fuckin' panther.

One thing you could do is put a little line under the W and the E. Both lines would be on the outside and would re-orient the eye to make the W and E appear correct. See attached bad photoshop

@a_beukeveld  I'm sure it will all be fine. The tattoos look great in the pics.
This is just my experience but I do not change the tegaderm out once I put it on. Some people do, but I haven't. I get bandaged as per the usual method after getting tattooed and leave that on overnight (no matter at what point of the day I get tattooed. I always leave bandage on overnight). Then shower that next morning and remove bandage and clean the tattoo. Then, since I have no confidence in my skills, I walk back to tattoo shop and have the tattooer give one last wipe down with green soap and have them put the tegaderm on. Then I leave it for 5 24 hr days.  If fluid builds up I leave it. Once it actually leaked out but then sealed right back up. I have not tried changing out the tegaderm to a new piece. Sucks enough removing it once.
The derm always has stuck to my tattoo by day 5. It just won't stick to a fresh seeping one. I just pull it slowly with gentle soap and tons of water. And I try to remove in the direction of the hair, not opposite.

    Ha ha ha. @oboogie
i can't imagine i would do a good job with it. So much easier to have a tattooer do it. Doesn't even need to be the same tattooer, just one that says "sure, I'll do it".

I love this thread. I'm new (as in 2016 new), but I am not a fan of the stupidity that gets posted by newbies. I have been called down about what I say to them at least three times. Whoops?

What's most annoying to me is people who only take. They come here (as well as a bunch of other tattoo themed web forums) ask questions/seek validation, and when they recieve their info, they f*ck off. What's even worse is when they come here to get their d*ck sucked about their totally sick /rad/unique tattoo idea, and recieve answers they dont like, they insult the members who respond to them, and either never come back or start multiple topics hoping to get the answer they want. How about you contribute something first before you leech off this community?
You could pretty much respond to any of these people's questions with "Talk to your tattooer", but that seems to be too difficult for them.

I am a newbie from both the perspective of joining the forum as well as to the world of tattoos. I do want to thank many of you who have welcomed and supported me. Although I do try to defer to experience, I also recognize that my enthusiasm sometimes gets the best of me and I'll jump in where, perhaps, I should remain silent. Again, thanks for the tolerance. It is frustrating to see people who come here who clearly have no desire to gain any wisdom or listen to counter-points; they are here only to validate pre-existing thoughts. Feel free to smack me, when appropriate.

Had a blast at the convention!  Was great to meet @polliwog @Fala and was also great seeing @Graeme and @Pugilist.  Briefly saw @Shaun1105 which was cool but missed @BrianH due to walking past every booth except the one he was being tattooed at. Feel pretty dumb about that since it was directly behind the one I was hanging out at. Also bummed to have missed seeing Sam  whose handle name eludes me at the moment.  (Mitslam??)
Got this by Nick Colella on Saturday in the same booth and at the same time as @Graeme was getting an awesome tattoo by Robert Ryan. Absolutley love it and had a great time talking to Nick. Such a great dude and awesome tattooer. This is my first leg tattoo. On the side of my left calf.

I should also note that I went through pretty full peels after the tegaderm was removed albeit very light and not scabby. I used lotion after removing the tegaderm to keep the area moist. And yes it was sensitive from what I remember.

I have typically kept mine on for 5 days and then take it off in the shower or sink. Slowly. Peeling backwards, not up and with generous amounts of water and cetaphil soap to loosen the seal.
Looks like you may have had a bit of sensitivity to the adhesive, but the tattoos look great. I don't think you have anything to worry about. The last time I used tegaderm the removed film looked like a stained glass rendering of the tattoo and the tattoo healed great.  So don't worry too much about some flakes coming off. I think that's normal.
I will take mine off in the shower tomorrow morning.  My fingers are crossed!!  My third time using this stuff, but very first leg tattoo

@polliwog thank you. Your skunk is so awesome and the tattoo you got from Dave Cummings is incredible.  I would urge everyone to get a lucky tattoo shirt. Now I just need to find some lucky tattoo pants.

@mtlsam It needs to be butter from grass-fed cows.  I recommend Kerrygold but my friends have had great success with butter produced by cows spoken to exclusively in Finno-Ugric languages.
Okay I probably should have stopped after the first one
