One of his most famous paintings is of course the one I attached. And If I remember correctly, Daniel Santoro did a great tattoo of it! Anyone finds it, cooool!

"Until The Light Takes Us" is an excellent documentary = )
Yes. The name also translates to (roughly) Hvis lyset tar oss.

I like Tattoo Life and I think it is the best market tattoo magazine out there. The history articles are nice. Even thou I havent bought one in years :P

I saw Gaiman mentioned a few times-has anyone checked out his short story collection "Smoke and Mirrors"? Pretty great stuff. There's a story in it about a stray cat that protects his adopted family-chokes me up every time = /
Re: Russian lit- I started "The Master and the Margarita" , never finished it and lost it in a move-I think I need to get back into it.
Petri-O/T, if you watch the Danny Trejo documentary "Champion", Bunker shows up in a lot of the interviews; Danny and his uncle used to buy heist plans from him.
Coool! I love good documentaries. Have to check it out sometimes!

Yeah, it wasn't me man :P. I'm big on biographies and shit like that. Currently Im reading Blood in the Cage: Mixed Martial Arts, Pat Miletich, and the Furious Rise of the UFC, because I love stuff like this!
Talking about Biographies, I have read Education of a Felon: A Memoir by Edward Bunker like six times. Its fucking amazing.
My all time favorite books are (besides Education) perhaps
Neil Gaiman - American Gods (It is just magical, in all sense of the word, magic.)
Noah Levine - Dharma Punx (It helped me)
Carl Sagan - The Demon Haunted World: Science as a candle in the dark (cleared the cobwebs)
Richard Matheson - I am legend and Cormac McCarthy - The Road (both dense, close as skin)
Hmmmm. Shit, cant remember more. Oh! Marilyn Manson - The Long hard road out of Hell. Hail Satan.
I really havent read any real classic classics. They bore me. For example, Jack Kerouac On the Road. Well, Ithink Henry Rollins said it best.
“Kerouac, what a pussy,”

THANK YOU MARIO!!! Been thinking about the name for two fucking weeks :D
edit. What is the history of the design? Who put it out first in a sheet etc?
-
There is this one fucker whos "name" I cant remember, so I thought I will start a thread for these kinda mental block questions.
What the fuck is the little boxer dude called, with the black eye and stuff? And Im not talking about the suger cult creatures, or what the hell were they called!, with toaster for their heads and shit. But the classic old boxer dude.
-
What are they planning to do with the flash? And who are they anyway?
-
Yeah, it dawned to me when I thought about it. Its... Like looking in the eyes of an honest whore.
edit. Of course now someone who is well respect will come here, put me on my place and then I can snivel like a payed woman and say "of course YOU are different! LOVE your work person X" ;)

Cliff won't be talkin' from the grave that's for sure.
"The finish has a sense of immortality"
His laughing with Hitler in the spaceship.

George Burchett and the guys that trained him (had to look it up) Tom Riley and Sutherland MacDonald, that is another mark in history.
Its funny when you think about it. You start going further anzd further back from George etc. anz the designs most likely change and change some more. That in mind, what can ve defined as Traditional tattooing? You cant call it americana because George and the lads were English. Did they learn the trade from other sailors or in a island somewhere. Or did they just one day start poking themself with needle and some ink or soot? I do not know...
But, that is just part of labeling in a way. Doesnt really matter, but its cool, still.

Marcus Kuhn's New Project
in Tattoo TV Shows, Documentaries and Media
Posted
That was just heartwarming. I feel really good now. At first the pace was little hectic, music blasting over Santoros and Marcus was talking over them little too much. But when they went in the Tibetan museum, it was like swooosh! Marcus was calmer and whole of the vibe shifted. You could just see when he talked that he had that warmth in his belly. That exitment. Love it.
And when Thomas talked about the more complex patterns and how they link to the brain being complex... Yes. A cycle. And he explained the pover of Tribal tattooing to the teeth. Great thought about the black.
And the scene where they all drew in the diner. I felt happy :)
Little too loud music at times, but other than that it was lovely.
