  1. It's okay, you're allowed to have squishy feelings :).
  2. I was promised a complimentary cake-basket upon joining. All of your kittens will be held hostage until our demands have been met. It's been nice to have a great resource at hand which promotes communication within a community, and also helps newer people like me hopefully get better tattoos :) Thanks!
  3. Hay pennies are also appreciated. Welcome.
  4. Maybe if she asked how much a shop would charge for a Justin Bieber song in typeface font across her whole back to cover up a silly traditional lady head. Oh, and welcome to the forums. I'm pretty sure nerdy nurses will always be welcomed with open arms.
  5. Hopefully she has a speedy recovery! Too bad we can't be as picky about paying our insurance from month to month as they are about covering our claims.
  6. Went there for my honeymoon a couple of years ago. It's an awesome little island :).
  7. I keep mine in a pit down in the basement. It puts the tattoo on the skin...
  8. Displayed method especially effective for those who get the ever-popular, "new boyfriend's name on your face in giant font" tattoo. "
  9. Holy cow, he does some impressive work. Shelton is only 45 mins away, and such a lovely drive down there :). I will definitely contact himfor some biomech work. Thanks!
  10. Thats awesome :). The next time I am up in that neck of the woods I'll check it out :)

I will agree with with the Neil Gaiman fans (Neverwhere is my fave). I've been feeling a little too a.d.d. lately to trudge through the game of thrones' bazillion plot lines, and Rothfuss is pretty good. It was cool to see King finish out the Dark Tower finally (grew up on that stuff). Favorite stuff on my shelf: David Eddings- the belgariad series. The distinct personalities and how they interact will make you smile. Christopher Moore- anything by him :). Specifically though, "Lamb." Jesus learns Kung fu and meets a yeti. A. Lee Martinez is a close runner up for the laugh-factor. Julian May's Pliocene Exile saga is my favorite scifi. For the kindle owners I highly recommend "Legion" by Brandon Sanderson. It's a short story about a genius who creates dozens of personalities to compartmentalize his knowledge so he doesn't go crazy. Aside from that my shelves are a hodge podge of comics, manga, martial arts books, and Taoist studies.
  13. Thanks for the heads up! I've already been shooting emails back and forth with Neil England on a piece for my shoulder, but if that doesn't pan out I would be thrilled to get a traditional piece done by Matt :).
  14. Looking forward to Seattle Tattoo Expo 2013 - Seattle, WA :). https://www.facebook.com/seattletattooexpo As I am quite the noob, I am looking forward to checking out some awesome art, meeting some cool people, and possibly getting a friend done up on my right shoulder :) Yar!
  15. The tattoo is bad enough, but reading the replies on Facebook made my soul hurt.
  16. Matt Cowell out of House of Tattoo in Tacoma. He's an awesome guy and his work just keeps getting better and better :). A jack of all trades, he's done great black and grey, bio mechanical, and is doing a dragon 3/4 sleeve on me at the moment. By the way folks, thanks for all of the great links to shops. It's a lazy Saturday morning in the ambulance and I'm having a nerdgasm whilst anticipating visiting some of them.
  17. Howdy, I'm from Gig Harbor and have been checking out shops in the seattle area lately. It seems like Cicada does some good work. I also really like John Fitzgerald's stuff from Slave to the Needle.
  18. Yes, I am a big dork and got the same tattoo that Scar has from the anime FullMetal alchemist. Done in 2009 (still shiny and new in this picture).
  19. Howdy howdy, who does your work in washington?
  20. Give him a swift kick in the gentlemen's vegetables.
