When I was growing up, tattoos were always something bikers had. I dated a guy who didn't like them, and when I got my third tattoo, he was not thrilled, and joked about calling me "biker bitch"...that third tattoo happened to be Tigger holding three daisies. That's really what all the Biker Bitches are getting, right?? Then I dated another guy who tried to force me to not get my 4th, a tree frog. I told him I wasn't living my life according to his sense of beauty. Now I'm married to a guy who digs the shit out of tattoos and encourages me to get more...and some of what I want are things he doesn't like and guess what? I don't care. I want him to find me attractive, obviously, but at the end of the day, if I think it's pretty, and I want it on me, I'ma git it.
I like looking at tattoos on women. I probably look like some weird stalker or something, but I find them very feminine, and I like to admire, say, the curve of a shoulder that is tattooed. It's beautiful.

I found out today... I am going to be an aunt as of late april or early may. Very very close to my 21st bday when i will meet my neice or nephew

I'd say if you're worried something is too masculine for you, then it's not the right tattoo for *you*. If it's right for *you*, it shouldn't matter if it's...I don't know, what's masculine, a big ole monster truck? If that's what you like, then that's what you get. and if someone says they don't like it, then you say "Yes, well, maybe it's not your taste, and that's fine. Oh fun! I loved English in school. I'm almost done getting my CDA. I work w/special needs preschoolers. Not that that is the same as going back to get a teaching degree and working w/High Schoolers...just commiserating on having school work to do again!

I have had 1,000 plus miles of windshield time with the CEO of my company. I displayed to the HMFIC that I had been tattooed down to my wrist, and his response was, "no one will remember you for that." Awesome compliment from the HMFIC of my company.

Two minor in office surgeries, one day.
And before that, PetCo for cat treats, Bath and Body where I got awesome stuff, and a delicious grilled chicken sandwich with romaine, tomato, and a pickle on a wheat bun... Hadn't eaten anything but oatmeal, strawberries, organic chocolate milk, and soda in days. Soooooooo freakin' good.

The storm ended up not being near as bad as it could've been, thankfully! We had one come thru town a few years ago and that was wicked-definitely the scariest weather I've ever been thru.

Winter is creeping up so it's time for me to renew my volunteer hours at a local shelter.

I've only seen a tornado once, outside Winnipeg when I was a kid in the 70s. Scared the hell out of me. Glad you are all all right.

As a woman who just got a traditional tiger tattoo, which I guess is more on the masculine end of the spectrum, I understand your trepidation. We are who we are: Masculine, feminine, androgynous. Tattoos don't change the execution of your gender, or more importantly, YOU.
Keep in mind that subject matter is all about artistic liberty and has a great impact on how masculine or feminine it looks. (I kind of think my tiger looks like a big old queen, but that's cool. I like him.)
Your family is right. Your body will ruin. It will age, eat itself, cells will stop degenerating, and your skin isn't going to look like you're 23 forever. Guess what? Happens to the people without tattoos, too. Don't base opinions about your body on what others think, because you're going to have a lot of people in your life who care about you for you, not for the ink or lack of.

Spent over an hour sitting in the basement w/the kids tonight while the tornado sirens were going off. Posting updates on FB while listening to the traffic on my husband's department radio. The tornado came 1 mile south of us and then disappeared. After it had tracked on the ground for about 60 miles or so-and it was a mile wide-just poof, it was gone. Craaaazy.

I'm not balanced, but I think the asymmetry is cool/sexy. It won't stay that way for long, just b/c I want (need) more.

No name kitty. Terrible picture but she's still roaming everywhere and hasn't been still since we got back. Can't really see her face..she has bright yellow eyes.
Now we have three Tortie kitties. All because of Bella Jo, our original tortie. So, we have Britta Rose, who is 11.5, Clementine Isabelle that I got from this same shelter last November, and then this new one with no name yet. (we also have a grey and white cat named Opilio)
