    just cram 'em all in there. i don't get it when people plan their whole bodies out or want all this "balance". do they plan on posing around naked all the time for us to scrutinize? most of the time people only see our arms anyway.

    I frequently have un- or barely-tattooed coworkers discussing my "ink" or "tats" with me. Those terms, or variations thereof, make my skin crawl. I think because it implies a familiarity - a "tight bros from way back when," if you will - that they very clearly don't have. Maybe I thought to much about it.
    That being said, I enjoy saying "zaps." I think I'm using it in a tongue-in-cheek manner, but I imagine that doesn't make it any less obnoxious.

    Being fine with tattoos on men but not women seems to be a common double standard. Just saw this on a silly music forum regarding Aimee Mann's tattoos:
    "yea..im not a big fan of tatoos on women... it means theyve done something very bad...whether it be drugs or crime.
    but aimee loves boxing and tatoos are mandatory there lol."
    On the one hand it makes me laugh. On the other hand, why are people such freakin' idiots?

    As an old fart, I gots to agree. I had my left ear pierced when I was 12 years old, and have worn a stud in it since then, got my left nipple pierced when I was 18, it's still open, but I don't wear anything in it.
    My oldest gauged his ears out when he turned 18, but figured it out an leaves em empty. I've offered to take a tin-snip to 'em, but for some reason, he won't let me...they're closing up anyhow.
    I know, I know. Back in the day, when I got my ear pierced, the oldtimers (like me) were telling each other how faggy and shitty it looked. Every generation has it's own thing, maybe the next big fad will be plates in the lips. I do believe the Mursi are the present masters of this, but it's been around quite a few African-and even one Easter-Euro culture for quite some time.
    All that said, hey, if it's your thing, go for it! I've done too much wrong in my life to be judgemental of anyone else, whether it's how they look, who they sleep with, or what they do to their body.

    That's what myself and many others are very afraid of. I've already spoke to many professionals in the UK who face this problem on a regular, cheap, unregulated lasers and improper technique are scarring people. There's such a violent price-war going on right now in the UK over laser removal that quality is taking a back seat.
    Old saying, Pick two of the following 3:
    * Cheap
    * Fast
    * Good
    but you can never have all 3

    In a faux reality world, anyone can be a judge. Its a tv show, the fact that everyone is talking about stuff like who should be a judge is proof that their brainwashing works. In actual reality, no one should be a judge. No one should be a "top tattooer" competing for tv producers ratings.

    Are the tattoos in the game as bad as in real life? I don't know what it is, but professional athletes seem to get exclusively tattooed by the worst tattooers available.

    I just got my first palm tattoo, an homage to the incredible motion picture Dark City.
    Yes, it's supposed to look wobbly, lop-sided and uneven.
    edit - sorry for how ginormous the image is. I'm less competent than anticipated.

    When I first went home after moving out, I was nervous about showing my mom my first visible tattoo (my first tattoo was inside my lip) - a zombie pin-up girl on my forearm (by Kahlil Rintye of Tattoo City, then of Mom's Body Shop). I decided on wearing short sleeves and to not bring it up and hope she wouldn't smack me silly.
    She just looked at it and said "Well, at least you can't see her nipples."

    I definitely wish I hadn't gotten tattooed as rapidly as I did for a period of about three years. I had a good relationship with a few good artists and that made it hard to stay away, but I really wish I'd fleshed a few of these ideas out a bit more before committing to them; there's a few good tattoos that had the potential to be REALLY good.
    I'm about 60% to 70% covered, which seemed really cool a couple years ago but I wish I'd been a bit pickier.
