I just read a fantastic interview with Glen Kilby on Sang Bleu. His sons Jordan and Caleb are clients of Thomas Hooper's and have identical tattoos. Turns out that it's a bit of a tradition in the Kilby family. Glen also sports a gorgeous backpiece from @Valerie Vargas as well as work from @Tim Hendricks and Emiliano Liberatori.

Really dude, just go with your gut and you'll be much happier in the long run! And the less "explanation" a tattoo needs, the better.

So you got family friendly tattoos but want a non-family friendly tattoo that says you don't like how tattoos are now family friendly? Just get what you like dude and don't worry about hipsters or hippies or whoever. Stick with something you identify with and you can't lose, everyone else be damned. (Apologies if this came off extra cranky, long day yesterday.)

The shop is in the basement of a house. It's first come first serve. You wait in line, put your name on the board and go walk around to kill time. One by one the names get knocked off the list. If you are not there you lose your spot. He opens at four. I think they got there a few hours early and dudes were already waiting.

@hogg thank you kindly for the kind words on my humble tattoos! and, yeah, I feel very lucky to have gotten so much work from Henning. He is quite a rad individual. I hope I can be as able and excited about tattooing after doing it as many years as him. Especially as he seems to constantly progress, and to balance his life so well.

Speaking of legends: I just made an appointment with Bob Roberts for next month. Now I just need to decide what to get! Whatever it is, it'll be small, as I only have a few smallish souvenir spots remaining.

Long list does not always equate to good work

2012 is the year of the dragon and after spending the Chinese New Year in Asia I thought it would be pretty cool to get a tattoo momento of the trip. I was looking at getting a dragon in the traditional american style but apart from some sailor jerry flash (which is kickass and I'm leaning towards getting) I can't find many other flash references apart from the odd one or two.
Can anybody help me out?

i can squat and deadlift a hell of a lot more than him though...

I am starting to fill in, actually I am about halfway through since I last posted. I have done some more stars and dots and some colored smoke on one forearm with a spiderweb on my elbow and some skull smoke on the other arm with a modified windswirl with lightning bolt on the other. They are looking pretty gnarly now, but will post when healed. I am really happy, considering on how it looks, especially since I was never concerned with being sleeved, I just got a bunch of tattoos on my arms till I ran out of room.

How about £70 for a tshirt! Just kidding, I spent/wasted way more money on clothes... Just thought that price for a t was absurd
