I'm not a tattooer but I have tons of flash, books etc- I like having an idea reference library on tap. Never has a problem buying any

Im like 100 miles from the epicenter- i was leaned back at my desk with my feet up and i fell over lol it was the best ever

I'm a sysadmin, but at a liberal arts school and I've never had any negative comments about my arms to my face at least...but i have close to zero contact with administration or students. Vendors that I deal with seem envious sometimes

I'm getting a palm done in 2 weeks we will see how that gets looked at lol

Thread starter, this is gonna be one of those things like your parents told you when you were a teenager that you didn't believe at the time but down the road, realized "shit they were right"

There is a very hard to define point where you turn from a tourist with a couple of tattoos into a tattooed person, and you can only get there by getting tattooed A LOT and living the lifestyle. If you ever DO get there, you'll remember this thread with some chagrin.

I too have a cushy college admin job, and I've had it for 11 years with sleeves visible, stretched ears, etc - everyone I work with sees me as I am because I can't and won't hide it. I kinda hate the job, but I respect the $$ it provides.

the no drinking thing has primarily been a filter for obnoxious drunks in my experience- Ive had a couple shots beforehand several times (artists were friends, knew it etc) and its nice...I had a lortab beforehand once (had my wisdom teeth out the day before) and it kinda made it worse, like i never got the endorphins, maybe I was ust too ground down to be tattooed

I got tattooed by Tim a few months ago, awesome dude and his drawing has a very whimsical sense of humor- Ive been emailing back and forth with Ken (who I met when I was getting work from Tim on their 'bus tour') about doing a big cowboy piece- can't wait

BHR is very high up on my list...I've never seen a bad tattoo from him and his western aesthetic is right up my alley...I'm jealous

its been a few years....2005 I believe as Energon was the last line I picked up. I made a decent profit on my G1/Japanese collection and took a bath on the rest to the tune of a couple grand, ouch

I've been thinking about it and the only collection I have these days is artist business cards

I used to collect toys- I had almost every Transformer ever made and a ton of prototypes too...sold them all after I realized it was an obsession and I didnt so much enjoy it as felt like I had to... I've also had huge amounts of guitar equipment but I'm down to 2 guitars and a Roland JC and some effects that I never use anymore
